I was in middle school and in the first period of the day, the principal came on the speaker instructing teachers to turn on the news and since this was a super weird thing to happen, we all turned and were just glued staring at the tv like "wtf is goin' on???" Turned into a very traumatic day of lots of crying kids and kids being taken home and lots of uncertainty. It was the event that singlehandedly killed the chill 90s vibe.
