The 999 Second Harold Stall | RS-8 Skadeknights

RS-8: 3 Skade-illustrated operators only
Not the worst stall I've ever done, but certainly the longest I've done with the Skade squad. Executor Alter can kill literally everything else in the map, but Harold requires some special attention. With Specter Alter and Phantom S1, both of Harold's phases can be infinitely stalled due to Specter's two forms being able to tank attacks long enough for Phantom to block during the doll's duration. Of course, this takes long enough that I run into the 999 second time limit for the blizzard, which makes managing Harold's HP in phase 2 a lot easier. I probably could still win with an infinite duration blizzard, though the clear would've been longer than 14 minutes as a result.

Man I really hope this stall doesn't work in EX-8 CM because I'd rather burst Harold like a sane person instead of stall for another 14 minutes

There's a decent number of map mechanics that just cease to function after 999 seconds pass. Notable ones I've seen are the Lone Trail balls in EX-8 disappearing and the taunt of CH13 bomb payloads expiring after 999 seconds. HG almost certainly doesn't design event mechanics around degenerate 999 second stalls, so I assume they're ok with just sticking that 999s timer on a lot of things.

@@Pengod it does mean they can’t make annihilations with these event mechanics. Although they might be able to sat a flag for re-starting it every 100 kill-gate or something

i just wanna say this is a very awesome clear, very fun to see Exalter And Friends defeat this level but i'll be honest, the mixing between the added bgm and laurentina's doll bgm was so heavenly i nearly ascended (2:07 especially was so good)

Spalter and Executor really pulling their weight as very "balanced" units, well compared to what's coming and the next Skadeknight unit

Logos is a monster with every single skill (whereas Executor basically only uses S3 90% of the time) for any purpose, be it AFK trash clear, single target boss kill, and generally obliterating everything that walks into his range with S3. Ulpianus is harder to get a read on for Skade usage from what little non-AH squad performance I've seen of him, but he still gets AH buffs from the two Specters and deals a lot of damage with utility (and range) that Executor lacks. Healing him will be quite an issue though.

Damage reduction is not damage immunity, passive damage builds up in the long run

35% per inactive heater stacks multiplicatively, not additively

@@BillyONeal He has a passive that states that he takes 35% less damage per inactive heater, but get the impression it's stacking multiplicatively so it can't actually reduce your damage to zero.
