It's funny because i'm nearly finished off the winter event to get the tornado with the A-4E (400~ kills) and i'm bit disappointed that you didn't showed us the power of the gun pods on the A-4E, they are marvelous, it's like having the power of a A-10 in your hands, HONESTLY i recommand you to test the gun pods (you can make a configuration with only 2 pods, it makes your plane lighter for the same result) you just have to spray in dogfight and the ennemy jet fall like a leaf to the ground

​@@baku_5395 The problem is that i used this aircraft before the feature that you can choose which weapon to bring , and after testing out the 3 gunpod standard configuration i never looked back to them cause was unflayable . I focused more on bombing because that is what bringed more points in for the event in my opinion.

Hey just a quick tip for all the a4e users! If ur currently running the 14x 500lbs bombs to destroy the base, go to your secondary weapons and do a custom load out with just 12x 500lbs bombs because that's enough to destroy one base aswell. Also gives you a faster speed and you can get faster to the bases :)

The A4E early is not noob friendly , I got it after the only experience I had playing jets was the me262 , the stock grind makes it borderline useless and you lose all your speed very quickly compared to other fighters , The AIM9Bs will rarely if almost never hit of the person you're shooting at is paying attention and knows you are there ,The A4E early has some potential in skilled hands , but Unfortunately for me i suffer from what is known as a major skill issue using this plane. At 8.7 you will often face Mig 19s , Mig 21s and other supersonic jets in an up tier which will just absolutely kick your shit in. The USA teams at this Br are gonna be filled with other A4Es which will be either stock or piloted by inexperienced players meaning that it is very common to see more than half your team dead within the first 5 minutes in a match. I recommend getting to jets through the normal tech tree past 8.7 if you plan on using this thing in air RB as the skills acquired through doing so will make flying this thing less painful and will mean you are a greater use to your team. If you still plan on getting the A4E after reading this here's some tips to help you get by ; 1) Always keep your speed High when turning use the keyboard to turn in small parts and avoid using full turn above 800kph as your wings will commit adios. 2) If you want to bomb bases you can carry the 250lbs in the middle of the wings pylon and 1 500lbs bombs on the outer most tips of your wings , this is lightweight and enough to fully destroy 1 base while keeping you fast , you could carry 1 gun pod in the center as well for self defense but if you dont plan on fighting anyone its just extra weight and drag. 3) For air to air combat I run min fuel , x2 Aim9b and x1Gunpod , The AIM9b is pretty useless unless you catch someone within 2km , below supersonic and not paying attention from behind , the gun pod is far better than the two 20mm guns you get which have bad damage and horrible stock accuracy. 4) You will die A lot starting out adapt to the situation and some fights are just unwinnable 5) You see a Mig 21 that wants you dead , you die (you can roll around and force a reversal but it can just loop around and shoot you down) 6) You see a Mig 19 that want you dead , you die (same applies here) 7) you see a Mig 17 that wants you dead , you die 8) When base bombing stay low , stay fast , look around and dont be afraid to drop a flare or two if you notice you've been flying straight for too long. 9) When people see you , they see a free kill , which is what it is , your plane cant out turn a lot of planes you face and only start dogfighting someone when you're alone or our team is with you, this is because you bleed a lot of speed and once you're slow YOU'RE DEAD 10) Keep practicing , try new things learn your plane ANYTHING WITH MIG IN THE NAME WILL GIVE YOU A TOUGH TIME playing this plane is rough , you can get 3 - 4 kills on average , but with no teammates you will not be clutching any 1 v 6 you get max up tiers very often which is not fun Do your best and just grind out tech tree planes man , remember to take breaks to keep your sanity in check , especially when stock , Good Luck. - Hopefully you pin this for others to see

Are you using the hydraulic controls modifiication? I've heard that causes wings to fall off in lots of other jets, and I've never managed to snap my A-4E, though I admittedly haven't had it for long.

@@Halinspark yes , so long as you dont go past 9g and try and roll while pulling on the elevator you should be fine

quick tip, there's a setting somewhere for automatic jettisoning of weapon pylons once used up! it automatically drops the bomb pylons when you're empty! for a little extra flight performance

@@DefaltThunder He doesn‘t mean ccpi/ccpr. He means you can jettison the white pylons that the bombs are suspended on, so that you get better flight performance after bombing. Go to options -> Air Battle Settings -> Enable "Empty weapon containers automatic jettison". It will also jettison empty rocket pods after you shot all your rockets.

The little A4 is so under rated. I wish the US had the more advanced version like the Israeli tree. For that matter it would be neat to see the Sky hawk in the British tree as it was flown by the Aussies and Kiwis.

@@CombatPilot1 you think this is a joke but from my napkin maths, about 10-15% of all A4-E will crash for absolutely no fucking reason before they are even remotely in danger. Once I was above 3 of them and tried to dive them and all 3 crashed trying to evade when I was still around 2km away. Honestly at this point I should create an Excel spreadsheet of crash chance by plane flown. And I guarantee that A4-E would be really high up on it.

Unfortunately for the a4e, many inexperienced pilots use it and give it a bad rap, I use it as a Dogfighter with AMAZING success, it all comes down to knowing how your plane works and using smart timing, it's an amazing fighter, just gotta get past all the haters

It’s absolutely awesome as a fighter as long as you position yourself correctly and give yourself the advantages. I’ve reversed so many people that should have *easily* killed me but because of how quick it bleeds energy they just fly right past me, and I can either launch an aim9, delete them with the gun pod or get a teammate to clear them out if they’re too fast

About AIM AA missles. Don’t use them like on top tier. Instead they’re used when you’re on the tail of enemy aircraft, it’s an alternative to using guns to down your enemy. Once there’s one km between you and enemy, aim and shoot. Try to be slighly higher than your enemy, that will give your missile an elevation advantage allowing for faster speed and longer effective distance.

Ah the a4e! I got the mig 15 his a few weeks ago, this plane is a free kill besides when it rolls and janks up my aim. Besides that, it's still a kickass plane not sure why I've had people try to dogfight my mig in an a4e, was interesting.

When you have joined a squadron you have to go in the tree and click research on It, be sure to play a bit in 3 days time and youll receive 20k points , repeat till you unlock it
