Very interesting. We used to walk along Alder Street to the Monday Market when I was a kid living in Blackhouse Road,Fartown. Fantastic memories , Alder Street wasn't tarmaced ,it was cobbled and the Market had the Beaumont Street Flyer running alongside it.

Ahhh the old hillhouse engine shed, codes were 25b and 55g 45596 Bahamas was based here in the 50s , should keep the turntable uncovered but that depends I suppose on network rail

Its wrong to say It was not used after 1940 I move to Fartown In 1956 and It was still used then up till the last time I saw It used In 1967

Thank you ! I did see articles saying 1967 and also 1940 I think the wagon way continues till 67 and the sidings were 1940 ?
