Abba music was so one in a million. They are very unique, classy yet very humble human beings. They formed thus group wasn't expecting they would go big. And they worked really hard, too. They produced different language albums. Which not very much done by artiste nowadays. This group is the best ever in human history.

I'd have to agree. Making a Spanish album(s) back in the 70s or 80s was a great move, because now we have ABBA songs in Spanish! And not to mention, making so music videos before music videos were the thing to do.

What determines that a song is great is its longevity, not its chart position from 40 years ago. If they still play it on the radio after 40 years, it is a great song. In Toronto, where is live, I still hear numbers 1,3.4,5.6,7,9,11,14,17 from the list on AOR stations quite frequently, so at least here, those songs have stood the test of time.

I love every song they sang and wrote but I knew that Dancing Queen had to be number one! It captures the essence of their music, and that is to dance in a swirl of pure joy. ABBA is pure, unadulterated musical genius on every level of creativity in the culture of entertainment. There are other groups I love but ABBA will always transport me emotionally to another world altogether!

Thursday, November 11, 2021- yes it's been 11 years and I am back to reminisce ABBA. Ahhh what a glorious time it was and the good news is they are doing one last swansong. This treasure cove of music brought e right back to my teenage years. The music was everything. Now 60 I am reliving those days. What a triumph. I do not know of any band in the history of music that has given the world so many amazing, memorable super-hits. In this sense, they are, along with The Beatles, in my opinion, the most outstanding musicians of at least the XX century. Their music was remembered by everyone who listened to it and constantly sounds in the soul. You always want to listen to it and sing it. This is some kind of magic.
