We were able to catch up with Hannah Kidder at the ABGA National Show in Grand Island, NE. She presented some do's and don'ts on how to show your goat. We hope you enjoy the video.

I'm curious why it's okay for Boers to show with horns but not dairy breeds?
@person9015Ай бұрын
It’s breed standard, dairy goats are usually dehorned whether or not they’re going to be shown so the standard has leaned towards no horns, and Boer goats are less likely to be dehorned since they’re usually out and about and need extra protection so the Boer standard leans towards that.

I really wish you had a wireless microphone. It’s really hard to hear her.

What is with the weird stance of the handler when the judge was in front? And combing when the animal hadn’t even been touched? The animal should be the focus, not the overzealous show person.

Not when it's showmanship. Showmanship is how well you show, not how well your animal looks.
