@@ryancarter2959 It's the same bar, different name. It always had reese's peanut butter in it, just never shown on the package. Due to lack of sales, Hersheys figured theyd throw it in the good selling reeses family and it worked. Sales boosted, same recipe.

Favorite candy bar is the Payday. I eat one almost every day, and right now finding a Payday in the local stores has become a major hunt. None of the grocery stores carry them at all. I have been buying them by the box online. Mounds comes in as a distant second. BTW--not even a mention of Baby Ruth?

@@rpc717 I think you might have had a 'Curly Wurly' candy bar, the British equivalent to the Marathon Bar. However, from the reviews I've read, the Curly Wurly is NOT a Marathon Bar by another name. The Curly Wurly is slightly different in taste and texture compared to a Marathon Bar.

I think you're right - but it was packaged as "Marathon" with the old red wrapper with yellow letters. It was so bad it might have been leftover from the '70s. 😭

Everybodys got a different opinion what they like and don't like. My fav since 1978 has been Whachamacallit. Love Scor/ Heath bar 2nd, and there's Crunch, Butterfingers, 100 Grand, Twix, then Snickers. Peanut M&M's isn't on the list but I like them better than Snickers, Milky Way, 3 Musketeers etc.

Some of my favorite candy bars include Kit Kats, Reese's, and Mr. Goodbar. However, I recently found a new favorite candy treat in the form of Reese's Sticks, which are basically Kit Kat bars with peanut butter added to them. I'd also recommend Nutty Buddies as an alternative to Reese's Sticks.

The best chocolate bar is the Cadburys bar, with either almonds or hazelnut. They are more expensive, but worth it. Caramilk bars are good as well, and also by Cadbury. Next best tasting chocolate bars are Aero bars, O Henry, and Kit Kat. those are my faves in order. Why this video doesn't include Cadbury, is beyond me ??

Both Zagnut (which is one of my all-time favorites) & Clark bars are still around, but very hard to find. Try Amazon or Dylan's Candy Bar website. One of my other all-time favorites, the Mars Marathon bar (not to be confused with Snickers Marathon) hasn't existed since I was a kid. Someone suggested I try Cadbury Curly-Whirly, but it wasn't nearly as good.

Factual error about Butterfinger, they are not really "enrobed in chocolate." That brown coating is hydrogenated palm kernel oil. There's some cocoa mixed in, but it's not real chocolate. But people buy Butterfinger for its "crunchity" peanut filling, not to satisfy a chocolate craving!

I haven't had a Mounds or Almond Joy in quite a while, but their chocolate was never "bland and grainy". The only chocolate I've ever had that fit that description is Hershey's, but apparently they bought out Peter Paul (Mounds and Almond Joy), which would explain the problem.

For being a chocoholic there isn't a candy bar that I haven't had from a kid until now so I don't get why a number of them are getting a bad rap. I can tell you that when I lived in Delray Beach Florida and would go bar hopping in Ft. Lauderdale, there's a candy store called To The Moon and they have a huge variety of candy that I can recall from days gone by that I'll purchase to satisfy my sweet tooth. Associate for 25 years with the chocolate industry forces me to make some points. 1. Butterfingers' recent formula change in its peanut butter crunch interior has made it less crunchy and less enjoyable. 2. Hershey Milk Chocolate uses more cocoa per bar than any other mass produced chocolate bar. It is fresh milk in its formula that gives it that dairy tartness (most other chocolate uses powdered milk). It is NOT an inferior chocolate. Comparing it to some of the softer, creamier chocolates is comparing apples to oranges. It is highly popular exactly because it is not so cloyingly sweet. 3. You failed to point out that Kit Kat bars are made by the Hershey Company in the USA. Elsewhere it is a Nestle product.

Mine was twirly whirly. Not sold here anymore. Braided caramel covered in chocolate. I would eat it over 3 days. It was very long so felt like it could be cut in 3 pieces and feel like a good amount each day.
