Separate audio track is needed as during post production, some softwares like Reelsteady go etc, will remove audio from your footage. So in this case, you can reintroduce the audio back using this separate track.

Mine doesn't take commands well. I say "gopro start recording" in video mode and it takes a photo burst of 30 pictures every time. I check and it is still in video mode. If I say "video mode" it beeps as though it did change and then say "gopro start recording" it still does a photo burst.

A great video, camera operations easily explained and clear. I have a Hero 4 which with a firmware upgrade does 'Narrow' and is fabulous. I recently used a Black 6 for a 2 camera shoot which I found to be complicated and confusing. The separate WAV took up far too much memory space. The user manual is equally complicated with icons and pedantic explanations. The video has cleared all this up for me. Rather than buy a cheap and nasty equivalent I'm now considering the GP 8. I only wish their USB C accessory connectivity wasn't proprietary.

Hey Reha, terrific job! You hit all the important parts, provided an auto option, and did it all at an interesting pace (I can always replay). Side Note: Elsewhere I have seen recommendations for using Auto shutter speed and -1 or -0.5 EV Comp.
@RehaAlev6 жыл бұрын
+George Hugh thanks! Auto shutter is fine, but why the Ev if not needed? What was the point?
@georgehugh34556 жыл бұрын
Reha: Actually I meant setting a high fps to limit the shutter speed, which keeps cycling shots from getting blurry if there is not an abundance of light. The Exposure Compensation used with Native White Balance presumably yields a less washed-out sharper picture, maybe superior color.

Hello Reha! I want to know if you had any screen issue, while i was watching your video I realise that maybe you have the same black bar at the bottom of the screen as i have in the video mode, is that an issue or it's ok? also in photo mode there are two black bars at the sides. Plase let me know if its normal to have them because i dont like to shoot with black bars at the sides of the screen, thank you! Valentin

what setting would you recommend for consistent low light recording...example in the bedroom with candles

I would suggest keeping the settings I have described in the video. GoPro is not an ideal camera for low-light shots. I'd invest in NeatVideo in case you use it in low light regularly.

Yo, could I ask a bit experience for GoPro 6 picture profile. If the footage not for slow motion, should I shot in 4k / 24fps by default, I tried with reso 2k7 / 30fps, the output color is slightly opaque (color grading already) is not clear and nice as expected. In both cases I also turned on the Protune with SS is double with fps (24fps ~ 1/48 and 30fps ~ 1/60), outdoor ISO 100-400, Native WB, Flat.

Hello, Thanks for this video. Very usefull. I bought my Gopro Hero 6 a few days ago, and with all the options available, it's not so easy to calibrate (I'm sorry, I hope my English is not too bad... I'm french speaking). May I ask you a question ? What is the best setting for video in Low Lights ? I'm a singer, and sometimes when I'm playing music with friends, in restaurants or bars, I would like to record it on the Gopro. I tested the Gopro last week, but the result was a little bit disappointing (image was to noisy). Can you help me with some advices please ? Thanks a lot. Yves

Double the shutter speed of your frame rate. ex : 60fps = 120shutter or 125. 120fps = 240 shutter
