I’m only 15 minutes in and I’m annoyed. I don’t care what went on in the short time they were married , that house belongs to him. She should have no rights to that house. I’m tired of people thinking they can take what isn’t theirs . Now let me continue watching.

She took advantage of his grief over his wife and she got her foot in the door during a low time in his life. She only married him to get what she could and when she realized he'd figured it out she had to make up DV so she could stay in the house. She's a leech and a sorry excuse for a human being.

And any neighbour is entitled to take pictures of what they see from their own property, might not be a nice neighbour, but in this case it is completely justified. On the other hand, the letter to the neighbour was off the rails: claiming the neighbour somehow violates the bond of somebody else, dropping in that people photographed are police and _security_ - what does that have to do with anything.

I know I already responded to this, I am not joking...my neighbours came back from holiday, to find their house trashed, and anything small and worth something was taken....I truthfully saw someone in the garden, and went out with phone on video...they were gone, obviously in the house...I could kick myself so hard, for not being a really nosey neighbour!! they are devistated, their 2 babies had to stay elsewhere while it was somewhat cleaned up (police told me "ABSOLUTELY be a nosey neighbour"). This was the day after I watched this case, 4 days ago...sigh!

I’m having issues with the actions of this woman, they were married for 5 months so she obviously isn’t going to get a huge settlement. She is using his credit cards without permission to buy things to start her new residence. My gut (MY opinion) is that she is gaming the restraining order to stay in the home and drain as much money as she can. I’ve seen it over and over as a paralegal. I hope that if she is lying, she gets karma. If he was abusive to her, I hope he has to pay for her to relocate.

Absolutely.. I was on the fence about either one after the first hearing and didn't lean either way, but my feeling from what's been shown after that is that this woman is trying to milk this guy for everything she can. She's clearly capable of making very good money, but maybe she just doesn't want to work anymore, idk her motivation. It seems to me though, she thought she'd be able to clean this guy out and use an OP/RO as a tool to manipulate him and the system. It's also really sus that she's now got his daughter (wife was obviously aware the kid was pissed at her dad) on "her side" to gain more credibility. And to top it all off she's trying to claim that there's some conspiracy with law enforcement and she's been targeted. It's all very convoluted and manipulative in imo and her credibility from the first hearing to the last has taken a nosedive for me. I'm not the judge though so my opinion is just one more that means f*@$ all 😂

a restraining order doesnt give her exclusive use of the house. that's the domain of the divorce proceedings. it's his house so she should have to leave. she couldnt use 'his' credit cards unless she was an approved user. if they are 'his' credit cards he can cancel with potential for misuse so she cant get them opened again. if they are joint applications they are both have use and are both liable for the balance per their signed application. the credit card company doesnt give a hoot what's in the divorce settlement because they can go after either or both; they are not bound by the terms of the divorce. if one is ordered to pay the credit cards and doesnt, the other party has to take them back to divorce court.

Both my parents were hauled out of their house 12 days into the delta strain of covid. We sent the police over to do a welfare check, they banged on doors and windows, and finally called my dad's phone (we gave them the number - my parents lived 6 hours from us), and he said to them, "I think my wife just went unconscious...". The fire dept and ambulances rushed in and got them to the hospital. Dad was driven by ambulance from the local hospital to a bigger hospital in Portland more capable of handling severe cases. Mom was life-flighted to that same hospital dad was taken to. Dad was released with oxygen, nebulizer, steroids, antibotics, pain meds after 8 days. Mom lost her life there. I'm sorry this man had to go through the loss of his wife of two decades plus via covid. He was vulnerable and this woman swooped in to "save the day"...sadly he fell for it. Shame on her.

@@Nicki-hy5qd Agreed but anytime people mention a prenup they think it’s a bad thing. It’s not it protects the assets people had prior to the marriage and establishes ahead of time how things will be split if divorce happens. M I constantly tell younger women who ask me for advice including my own daughters to maintain their own financial independence! This stuff now that women aren’t supposed to contribute a single dime to their own household is crazy. This I say as a Muslim woman where religion and culture says a men are the providers and maintainers of women. We’ll times are different and if you want to reach goals as a couple you get there faster together. Example when I worked outside the home for someone else my entire paycheck went into a savings account for 2 years. That allowed us to start our trucking company now neither of us work for other people. I still maintain my credentials so that if tough times come I can easily go back to work in my field to make things easier. I’m not watching my husband put himself in a early grave to prove to miserable people he is capable to paying all the bills. We are a partnership and doing it together allows our children to live better, attend better schools, have extracurricular activities and we BOTH get to be there for important events. My daughter and her fiancé have a five year plan that we allow them both to be debt free and live how they want.

@patrongold7170 absolutely agree. And if your neighbor is taking photos for your husband/boyfriend/wife/girlfriend who you have a restraining order against and is passing them on to them, that is a violation of that order. My daughter had a neighbor who had cameras pointed at her home and would take photos of them whenever they came and went. She would try to report them for all kinds of crazy things, the grass was too long, the dog got out, her son was playing outside. My daughter got a restraining order against this lady. She was told to remove the cameras and stop taking photos of them. She then tried to get the other neighbors to do it for her, when they refused, she started attacking the neighbors. It was completely insane! This went on for over a year. The lady was arrested numerous times for violating the order and having her cameras pointed at the house and taking photos from inside her home, claiming she wasn't outside doing it! Eventually, it ended up in district court and she was jailed for one year. As it turned out, which once she was in jail, the neighbors felt comfortable talking, she had done this to the prior residents of the home. Twice! They just moved out..my daughter was the only one brave enough to fight back!

Hello, Meg I just thought I would jump in here since this is really a sad situation for Mr. Claiborne. Amy is my cousin, the lady in the courtroom . I am so sorry, Mr. Claiborne had to go through this mess because of Amy. But to answer your question about why the neighbor was watching the house, I believe that she had stated that her and Mr. Claiborne had an agreement way before Amy started living there to watch the house as he has watched her house in the past so to me the neighbor is not being nosey she is do what they had agreed upon in the past to watchout for each others house and property.. Again, I hate that Amy has done this, Mr. Claiborne is wrong, but being married for 5 months doesn't give anyone the right to destroy someone and trust me without a doubt, Amy wants this man's position for herself and that's the only reason she married him. Amy really needs to get mental help and to learn to love herself and others, but sadly, I do not see this ever happening . And I hate that she has embarrassed herself and our family to no end, and I'm sure this will not be the last time she will be embarrassing herself and the family... Have a good day..

The restraining order is against the husband not the neighbor who by her account took pictures of her own volition not at the direction of the husband(usually orders include not directing contact through third party). The text from the wife about “her property” sounds like the wife thinks she has sole ownership of the house which she doesn’t even if husband has a restraining order.

Five months of marriage and she has him and his stuff kicked out before the hearing on the PO! This is why we should ALWAYS have a prenuptial agreement in place prior to a marriage, when someone owns property has savings, retirement accts, owns businesses etc., prior to marriage. This case stinks and that lady had a goal from the moment she agreed to marry that man and it did not include being hitched to this man any longer than necessary!

They blew through her savings and he bought all sorts of household items with the “business cards” so that he could claim none of it was marital property. Let’s not forget that he was arrested for DV multiple times during their short relationship. Financial abuse is real, and this case has all the hallmarks of someone who uses money to control someone.

Seriously how many times have we seen this scenario go down? A guy and a girl meet in high school, fall in love, get married, and spend the next however many years working hard to build the life they've dreamed of tgthr. Fast forward, one of them passes away unexpectedly. The widow quickly remarries bc they've never been alone a day in their adult life. And the new spouse just slides right in to reap the benefits of someone else's hard work, completely demolishing and cleaning out the once widowed partner in a short period of time. Bc they don't really give a shit about that person. They see an opportunity to take advantage of someone's vulnerabilities and they pounce. It makes me soo angry. If you were only married for 6 months, what gives you this entitlement to just help yourself to his credit cards, racking up thousands of dollars, and trashing his stuff? Now you want 3000 dollars a month in alimony too?!! Gtfoh

They found hypodermic needles, beer caps, etc. This makes me think that his daughter may have had a drug problem and this is why she was on the stepmom side. The things stolen from him, credit cards used, people coming and going, partying..I think that soon to be ex is involved in the drug world. Even if she wasn't using she contributed. Of course this is my opinion. It makes sense. I think her DV cases are bogus. I hope he proves those cases to be false as well.

45:00 "Coo-coo for Coacoa Puffs" (cute lol) - Okay, so yeah, I think you may be looking at this from a slightly skewed angle, maybe? Just cuz you asked, right? So, the party to the action (wife) is living in a home next door to the witness that had been previously occupied by a couple of delightful neighbors for several years; ever since witness moved into her own home. First wife passes away, and in a fit of crazed grief widower marries the WAY WRONG WOMAN and almost instantly reqrets it, marriage falls apart, things go south HARD, and now he's vacated (temporarily) HIS house. Witness, whose loyalty is 100% with the poor widower next door whom she has known for years and likely cares for like a son/brother/whatever (at the very least a friend), is being taken advantage of and his PROPERTY is being destroyed by the new wife, and her "friends" who come and go at will around the clock. Sus, much? So she hasn't had a party. So what? Doesn't mean they aren't drinking, doing drugs, selling drugs... who knows what kind of people she is allowing into HIS house. He has a lot of expensive equipment (or he did at some point, gotta wonder how much is left at this point). No, the neighbor is doing him a solid. The wife did threaten the witness with legal action and by letting her know how upset she was about the photo taking etc, if I were that witness, I would also be more than a little intimidated that all those men coming and going may be more than little pissed off too, so is this more than a threat of legal action? Maybe, maybe not. But intimidating, just the same. Before anyone says it's none of the neighbors business, let me add this. The second the new wife started living there on her own and the traffic increased, the garbage started building up, etc, the witnesses property value went down. Her ability to sell her home went down. It is most definitely her business.

45:13 no, you're not understanding it right. Yes, she is taking pictures from her window of suspicious activity at her neighbor's house, after he was removed from the home. This is a long-time neighbor whom she obviously has a good relationship with, mind you. The wife responded with a "I noticed your pictures are going to be used in court against me. Please stop or i will call the police and prosecutor and I will sic them on you. Btw ive got lots of police friends. Those men in my hottub with me are off duty cop friends." That is a threat and should be treated as witness intimidation. But I doubt the court does anything, because its a "battered woman" making threats.

Wife's testimony in that first hearing smells so fishy it's like a whole fish market. At 1:22:00, she says she has 3 bank accounts and that 2 of them are at $200 or less. Does she ever say how much is in the 3rd one? At 1:24:00 she says she has 400 in her bank account (not accounts). She means the two accounts now? How about the 3rd one? At 1:27:00 some county jail employee with no muffler drives by in the middle of the night to make sure that husband is not living there. How does this make any sense? Like if husband showed up, wifey wouldn't call the police? As for the Amazon purchases being curtains or blinds, she spent 4 grand on that? How? As for paying for literally everything while they were dating, her quitting her job would be on her. Would you quit your job if you were moving in with a guy who is either broke or cheap? Would you even move in with that guy in the first place? Hearing that she messed up the house doesn't surprise me but stealing his late wife's jewelry, that's just evil.
