Though unfortunately he didn't know ethan was being biased which is understandable since it seems he didn't watch the toxic response he made against you. What is your take on this? I can think of one reason why Colossal made the dramatic reading of your script. He is friends with and has a podcast with Pyrocinical. Colossal often had relationships to other content creators with whom he disagreed a lot in the past (for example, he used to associate with Leafy and Keemstar). He had a podcast with Keemstar that was basically just about them disagreeing on everything and arguing about it. I can absolutely picture Colossal uploading this dramatic reading purely to piss off Pyro. That’s probably why he only posted it to Soundcloud and didn’t bother to record it properly. Pyro probably told him to “give me two reasons why being a react andi is bad for the platform” or something along those lines. Clown then responded by sending him the full manuscript read out loud as a joke. Obviously i have no idea, could be any other reason that prompted him to do this, maybe it was a joke for some other reactor who he talks to privately, or maybe some other thing entirely.

Not looking to start a fight, but I absolutely ADORED the horse rides in RDR2, because they had some of the best dialogue in the game. Nevermind that, it had some of the best dialogue in gaming. Thing is, it's the kind of dialogue you can't have during "intense" gameplay. It's deep enough that you have to be paying attention or it'll just all fly over your head. And, at least for me, that was enough. Listening to them talk, damn, it felt like I had real people in front of me, the people that wrote the dialogues for that game deserve all the raises in the world. I get why many people wouldn't be entertained by that sort of thing tho

The only issue is the rides are mandatory. In GTA 5, hangouts provide slower moments and tons of unique dialogue, while being completely optional

as much as i completely agree with the "Games should never feel like you're being patient." part its also kinda funny how GTA 5 has so many of those damn parts, here's a list of missions from GTA 5 that literally only has your character walking forward or driving the entire time: Complications, Chop, Marriage Counseling, Friend Request, Fame Or Shame, Did Somebody Say Yoga, Scouting the Port, and Reuniting the Family there is just a couple from quickly looking at a list of main story missions so again i completely agree with matto but I just find it really funny how many parts like that GTA 5 has lol.

i havent really played much RDR since im kinda poor, and im replaying gta5 since ive played it long ago, but arent some of the driving missions in gta5 faster? Like yea i remember some that are extremely slow and boring (like that one in which you just move containers), but others are faster paced and have you actually worrying about not blowing up your car after crashing for the 11th time

After seeing the comments, I decided to see what other threads there were. I came across many threads. Across all of them people just remembered you as "the guy who compared reactors to rapists" or "the guy who banned someone for getting a better speedrun". It's truly disheartening to see that people can speak so confidently about something they know nothing about. They will not bother reading/watching anything. They only want to hate. I get your "no game should ever feel boring" point, however not once a thought crossed my mind during rdr2 playthrough that is was boring. The game's pace was on point for me. You of course mentioned the point that games can't always be entertaining for everyone because of different tastes and that is precisely the story with rdr2. I honestly find gta 5's constant action jarring after a while because gta lacks those in-between moments, unlike rdr2. I don't think driving segments count as in-between moments, cars are fast and so they require you to concentrate.

I love matt but his opinion infects other people. My meaning behind that is that he thinks RDR2 is boring. And I've had conversations with people in this community where they've said the same and I've asked them if they had played it before and they've either went "Yeah and I also thought it was boring" (because of the pretence that they thought it would be boring) or "No because I watched Matt play it and he said it was boring so I assume it'd find it boring as well" basically Matt is the Cinemasins of this part of the Internet. Not that he lies, but that sometimes his opinion informs others of their opinion. There's other gta youtubers that do similar things. Like no joke under no other pretences I'm enjoying the gta trilogy right now. I'm playing Vice City and I'm not hating it. But the opinions of others would tell me it's terrible and I shouldn't play it. You should most definitely be informed before hand of something, but be able to make your own mind up about something. I play on console and didn’t have the chance to buy a PS3/PS4 port of the original trilogy on my own account before they took them off the stores and I refuse to buy the definitive version. The only way I can play the original versions of the trilogy is if I go dig up my old PS2 and memory card, find my older brothers or fathers account information that had the PS4 ports to play on my PS5, or play on my work and school laptop to exclusively play San Andreas because I didn’t get all three original games for PC which is the most inconvenient way for me to play the game.

I think its also important to note that a lot of people are playing the old pc version of San Andreas and not the steam version since its missing content and is very difficult to mod (downgrading is an option but personally it just made the game crash because of the radio and its just a very unstable solution)

Red Dead 2 is not a bad game. if you enjoyed the first game then you enjoy the second. Red Dead is not meant to be a full on plain shooter like fortnite, call of duty, siege, etc. its meant to tell a story, thats a big point of the game. riding to the nest shootout is to build tension and tell the story by dialogue instead of the normal cutscene. in a open world game, would you want it to just teleport you across the map when entering a mission? (fast travel is different because in most cases you have to find the other location on foot to teleport from point A to point B). I grew up with Red Dead 1 and GTA5. GTA5 even has long car rides, either building up to a shootout or even the mission is just for story telling ENTIRELY. note: i am not writing this as a "angry" comment, I'm just writing my point because not many people have defended RDR2 other than "but matto its a good game"

0:24 keep in mind it probably doesn't count people who mod the game as that 9/10 times requires downgrading the game which makes you use another .exe so steam probably doesn't detect the new .exe so those players aren't added to that count. Also I think GTA III DE is played more over the original because III benefitted the most from being remastered.

We very much know about 9/11 in The Netherlands, it's just the date notation being backwards for me that makes me forget that 11/9 is THAT day. However if you're not supposed to do certain things on days when tragedies in history happened there's not actually a whole lot you CAN DO on most days 🤔 It's a rather unrational expectation for the world to stop doing its thing every single year on those exact days a tragedy happened in the past.

9/11 isn't an international tragedy its just that international English speaking television is widely American, and thus their grievances become our grievances. Like you said Matto, I doubt that they know about the Bombing of Darwin that happened on the 19th of February, The Port Arthur massacre that happened on April 28th, or even The Christchurch massacre that happened on March 15th 2019, like we wouldn't be angry at Americans if they made a similar video to yours on Feb the 19th or played games with gun targeted gun violence like call of duty or Ready or Not on the other days. It genuinely baffles me how some Americans think the world revolves around them and their country, which of course a lot of the time it does but its really gets me angry

Not wanting patience to be a factor in a game can be a monkey's paw wish. I like racing games, and most of them suck so bad now. Most big titles all have at least one big issue with gameplay/progression/mechanics. You kind of have to.. slog through indie games, to find one you enjoy, basically requiring patience anyway. "I guess I'll spend a few hours looking for a game until I find a nice one".

Do people really find the part in RDR2 where you turn on the cinematic camera and watch your character gallop to the next mission for 12 minutes engaging? Or where you hold forward and A as you follow a character to the next objective for another 4 minutes? The horseback riding in that game was awful. It was either you have no control as you watch your horse follow the yellow line, or the controls where so clunky that it made it frustratingly difficult to actually do what you want. Shooting on horse back should be way easier, why can the horse follow the road in the cinematic camera, but not when you're aiming backwards? Maybe I'm wrong, I'm not a horse expert or anything, but I don't think a horse would willingly run into walls and trees. They are living, breathing animals after all, I think they'd have some autonomous behavior and self-preservation.

First make sure you have the 1.0 versions of the games, if not, use a downgrader. The Xbox HD mod for GTA3 is a good start, this brings over most of the enhancements R* Vienna made for the Xbox port. SkyGFX, ClassicAxis, 2dFX, Widescreen Fix, SilentPatch and GInput are the bare minimum for the original trilogy. Scour the web for a while to find the best combo of fixes and tweaks and stick to all in one texture mods and graphical enhancements, don't use too many mods and do go mad with high res textures. There's good ragdoll and free aim drive by mods for SA too that really bring the game up to modern standards

Matto, that is Steam, The game defined a console generation in the PS2, and no lies I go back and play it over a lot of my consoles from time to time (Xbox, 360, PS2, PS3, and don't really have any serious issues, well not enough to make me butt hurt like so many entitled gamers these days, about the remasters. They play fine, teething troubles sure, but the updated controls are welcome and its a bit of nostalgia.

Like uploading pacifist on a Friday afternoon or something like that. Obviously with time zones it would be weird, and you wouldn't be able to have the same time for everyone, but maybe release it so it would be that time for the top 1-3 countries that watch your content. I think commeters were more concerned with the *potential* for you to catch heat because you posted that video when you did; not necessarily were they upset that you released the video itself. That said, it does raise an eyebrow that the video was posted during a time that would be considered 9/11 to a lot of your audience. I'm not trying to accuse you to exploiting the subject matter for clicks, but Americans do love their conspiracy theories, and I would not be surprised if a lot of people walked away with that idea.
