That's because Riot has no monetary incentive to do so. Right now the game being free means tons of casual players will pick it up and they will be more likely to buy stuff if they aren't always stuck at the lowest elo because they suck at the game. So they do it team based letting the casuals get carried so they feel good and buy stuff. It's a numbers game really. The only way this changes is if gamers themselves change and become more marketable. Imagine a guy with millions of dollars of advertising and sponsorships plays your game. You've got like 100 of these players, they are now worth WAY more than those casuals so their words and actions now carry weight with Riot. when they all threaten to leave for another game if Riot doesn't change something Riot would not only change things fast but it would be patched and working 100% as intended within a week. Welcome to why freemium doesn't work out well for gamers. They aren't marketable. Henry Cavill is a unicorn and I'm a pegasus.

There is no ideal system anyway. Every system has pros and cons. Accurate score-based matchmaking is good 80% of the time, but it would tremendously increase the queue time of each game. Why? because let's admit the facts: most league players are just bad and good players are few. You need to mix some of the bad players for faster queue. There is no way around it unless you want to queue more than 15 minutes each game, which is a total waste of time. Riot has done this before in the past seasons, and trust me, it was a much worse experience overall because even accurate score-based matchmaking doesn't guarantee you a good game. Coupled with longer queue time, it was a legit uninstall moment.

Then you get people playing for KDA and not to win. It in fact would reward junglers afk farming and incentivizes less ganking. If my there’s even the slightest chance of the gank not working or getting counter ganked, why risk my KDA when i can afk farm jungle and get points off that.

@@brokenteeth22 let me clarify. Not ALL the points should be assigned based on the final results. Cause a JG can do all the objectives, get his team a clear lead and still lose if they throw by constantly fighting. My biggest issue is time. I'm certainly not the only one that has a spend a season or two (now is shorter sure but that's a recent development) stuck on an elo cause the mmr system is a permanent fixture. Spending a year or 2 wasting time doesn't translate to a fun player experience. And yes I've dropped the game several times because of this barely coming back only to drop it again this time at a faster rate until I just stopped. At some point it couldn't be just me right?

I wish they built Vlad kind of like Darius where his autos cause the enemies to bleed over time and then when he uses an ability, depending on what level of bleed, it deals a bonus effect. Q could double the bleed percentage or double the time, W could slow, E could refund health to Vlad, and his Ult grants bonus Health/ AP based on bleed points

Low elo players like this don't understand how to win games. I rarely play ranked anymore because it's incredibly frustrating to deal with players like this in a game where there's any real stakes. Was playing with 2 friends in a game the other day in a norm and one of them was giving up at like 15 minutes cause of a fed Zed and I legit had to put on my carry pants as Rammus just to keep the game afloat. Managed to win that game by keeping a level head and having competent teammates despite being behind. Can't pull off comebacks like that without a good team.

welcome zwag to the real league of legends games, where you lose sanity and you can't get rage against these low IQ players cause you are going to be suspended, last week I was coaching players and I was nearly passed out cause of these low IQ players in my clients' teams. believe me one of the slightest worst games you had, I had a game where my bot asked for invade and I went to take the red buff, my adc kalista stole it with e after moving slightly away of red, and told me it wasn't mine in first place, I was going to pass it and say man he maybe new to kalista and wondered in a ranked game what kalista E does, but instead he was literally toxic, so after 3 days work with no sleep I decided not to put my anger to chat, and help enemy team take bot lane, I gave many kills to enemy adc, enemy adc and support with skarner ult, apologized to enemy jg for invade and we took drake together any objective together, cause you know there is a limit where you lose your sanity to some kids, you want to enjoy the game but yet people push you to your worst.
