I adore how the actors talk about their characters, they give such a wonderful insight to their personas while playing their respective role, it's a beautiful thing! It depressingly also makes me wonder what they thought of their characters direction during the "dark ages" of Sponge n pals when the legendary Hillenberg was no longer on the team. Wholesome documentary too, I think I've watched this at least 5 times now!

Don’t blame you. The Spongebob Squarepants Movie (2004) was intended to be the finale to the series. Stephen Hillenburg wanted to end it there but nick wanted to keep it going and sometime before his death he told nick to not make any spin offs but they did not respect his wishes.
