UPDATE: I have a feeling the Bludgeon will drop even more in price once the Keris Partisan is unlocked by players and is eventually upgraded from Raids 3. Chances are the Bludgeon will be worse on KQ than the Partisan once those attachments are made available. Only time will tell. - I did not include the Avernic Defender in the Bludgeon dps calc, just to be clear. - Cerb has a lot of potential to use the Bludgeon as a spec Weapon since she drains your prayer often and is weak to Crush. - A Blessed Saradomin Sword is also a decent weapon that has a Crush option on it that I forgot to mention. It degrades over time and it's slower than a Bludgeon in the Cerb test but it's a decent bit cheaper as a tradeoff! Just unlocked bludgeon on iron and really not seeing a use for it in mid game any more after the arclight and keris buffs. Kind of a shame, could maybe use a buff in the spec department?

@@Slabfish I was using it a decent bit at the nightmare since I learned how to do it. As far as crush options go it is generally the best besides a Scythe or Inq Mace.

I bought one just for demonic gorilla tasks. My wrist isn't as young as it used to be and less switches are more attractive than the extra arclight damage which just speeds up how quick you have to switch back to bp/tbow anyway. Congrats on 10k man!

Has use in Nightmare even with max gear, pretty sure its a switch for the husks in some circumstances.

im out of charges on my arclight so im using a BGS to spec on cerb and just using a normal whip with an avernic. just my two cents. My brother also suffers from a terrible skin conditon, that he gets prescribed these same types of medicines for, so I feel for boaty on a very real level. Ive wished many times I could take away and bear my brothers pain for him, skin conditions can litterally be crippling so anyone that can raise awareness or help sign this petition please do so.

Bludgeon is such good value for the price, basically the best crush weapon apart from luxury inquisitor's. I've slayed with this and hasta (crush) for a bit; bludgeon is definitely better but you're losing a small amount of defense bonus. Glad you highlighted the spec, it sounds quite interesting, but you'd have to intentionally keep your prayer low to use it well and it's probably still weaker than claws unless you absolutely need crush style. I'm trying to come up with ideas for items that only restore a tiny bit of prayer so you can intentionally keep yourself low 🤔

It's perhaps not the most relevant thing to mention in this video (for "casual normie mains"), but bludgeon is also better the lower defence your build is. As a two-handed weapon its stats have "a built-in defender", which do otherwise have defence requirements.

This was my upgrade for the kq and I absolutely loved! Sara kc also went faster with it. I don't think I ever used its special attack though... Also, what runelite plug in shows what the special attack does? I feel so dumb that I always went on the wiki to check for any weapon and it's right there in the game...

I feel like there was no information in this video. Except that the bludgeon isn't bis anymore and a petition for a skin disease that only UK people can sign. The other videos of this series always end with a definitive answer in my mind if I'll buy it or not. This time, I'm still confused.

The Bludgeon is pretty straight forward, it's not BiS Crush anymore but until you have the cash stack to get an Inquisitors Mace it'll be your best option on certain bosses. Also the spec typically is way more trouble than it's worth. What are you confused on or wondering about?

I would not train Defense with it. An Abyssal Whip w/ Defender will be better for that.

on the iron im 250 sires with no bludg pieces. I was praying for an early bludg for phosani but i do have a hasta. Even with the dps increase, lets say i only did 1k or so phosani, is it WORTH grindind considering how dry i already am? please coin your thoughts and opinions

I would say that if you're going to grind out Phosani's for 1k kills then it is worth first getting the Abyssal Bludgeon. The hasta on Crush isn't bad and would be completely fine for a shorter grind though, it's just 1k is a lot of kc and Phosani kills are pretty long, so even a little upgrade can go a long way when the fight is already over 10mins. Maybe try like 10-20 kills with the Hasta and see if you get a lucky Inq Mace drop so you can skip the Bludgeon lol. I too was pretty dry on Unsired drops. I was around 300kc with only one of them dropping. My rng balanced itself out though, I'm sitting around ~400kc and I ended up completing a Bludgeon, you never know what the next drop might be :)

@@LegacyLifting That would be a lot of time over the course of 1,000kc. Also you have to think about how long the walk there takes in between trips. The Bludgeon increased dps might mean that you can stay for an extra kill sometimes and save on travel time. You never know when you'll get the tablet to unlock the close teleport :(

I haven't ran it through a calc for specific numbers but the Maul is definitely worse than the Bludgeon overall. It comes down to attack speed, the Maul attacks slower than the Bludgeon by 2 ticks and that adds up a lot over a boss kill. I will say the Maul can be better against Tekton since his defense is so high, but almost always the Bludgeon is going to be preferred in any given situation.

I will add the Blessed Sara Sword to the update comment, I wasn't aware it had a crush style on it. That being said, in what regard is it better than an Abyssal Bludgeon? Testing it on Cerb in the calc shows a slower expected time to kill. Also, it's a weapon that degrades compared to one that doesn't. I see that it's quite cheap per charge, but once you charge it with a regular Sara Sword, that 300k is gone forever. If you're just using it on a single task you're not going to get through 10k charges, effectively increasing the cost to use the item. It's still not a bad option tho, especially if you plan on holding onto it and using all your charges. All I'm saying is that it's not a straight up upgrade over a Bludgeon, it's more of a sidegrade based on player preference.
