OK GO has been known to work with directors and studios to make really cool music videos with detailed, live-action visuals. For example check out their "This too Shall Pass" video where they built a Rube Goldberg Machine. While the camera was following the action, the band members were conveniently placed to act out their part in the song up until the end. crazy stuff kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6rFhnmkjpyMbtk

@thomasrosebrough90625 жыл бұрын
This is honestly a journey. It goes through these interesting changes as you add layers, like the reveal of how the "ay oh" fits into the first lyric loop, and then the reveal when the rest of the lyrics are added. And that epic moment when the drums join in. It all comes together to be more than the sum of it's parts.

All the looping was done in their own equipment, only the final result was streamed. As amazing as this video as a simple concept is, and the beauty by which it was executed captured me; on subsequent watches my brain watched the bottom of the loop screen and the Facebook reactions that floated by, and could almost watch the development of the emotional feeling of the livestream audience as time went by. That goes a little something like this: 0:50 - A few thumbs and such float across the bottom of the stream, The typical "First" commenters flood the stream's opening seconds. 1:01 - some hearts join, Excited to see our singer arrive. 1:16 - the emoji stream slows down to a bare trickle... our audience is confused and worried. 1:38 - Thumbs come back, some people realize what's up and are digging it. 1:46 - radio silence from the Emotes once more. Shocked Awe? Confusion? 1:56 - Thumbs and hearts. People were waiting for the melody to drop. They love it. 2:10 - Hearts and thumbs float by like rolling leaves, the concept beginning to realize, the audience gets into it fully. 2:34 - Shocked faces appear. They aren't done? How many layers deep will they go? Inception needs to step up its game... The hearts, thumbs, and shocked faces never stop, not until the stream shuts down, becoming a rolling river that permeates the bottom of the infinity hallway of stream delays that roll into the distance behind everyone.
