Whoever recorded this performance deserves a promotion and lots of bonus money. This corps is very good and watching this video was extremely enjoyable because the quality of the audio made it possible to hear everything that was going on and that jazz part at about 5 minutes was outstanding. Great job, Academy and the person/people that did this video. Fantastic job all!!! I wish all corps videos were this awesome, most are horrible.

People don’t understand this show but fall for Crowns absolute mess of a show in 2013?! Nothing in that show made any sense. Crowns elite level brass alone carried the corps and won DCI that year and the closer drill was the only thing worth watching. Academy’s concept was very clear, fun to watch and very well executed. Well rounded show

I mean a lot of high placing shows have no real theme. The Bluecoats literally just made themselves into a show and almost won. But we all know DCI judging is arbitrary

It totally was, it’s abstract but actually approachable unlike a lot of “abstract” DCI shows. It’s also really clean

The concept is just what it seems, being smart/intelligent and school life. It’s so simple it’s hard to grasp though so I get it
