Beautiful. I love how you handled Karkat realizing he was dead in this anamatic. Having Kankri fill the role of the therapist also wrecks me for this one because I have always felt like Kankri was a more understanding and loving character than what was shown in the actual comic. He was an alternate version of the Signless for goodness sakes. Thank you for the wonderful piece of art, and I appreciate all your hard work!!!

My own little theory with kankri is that hes ended up being so jumpy about saying things that could potentially upset or offend _(or otherwise ""trigger"" someone into feeling a certain way)_ because he, as a blood player, holds some memory from the sufferer whose words sparked up a revolution... that he then got to watch everyone he cared about die for.

I think just as Karkat comes across as aggressive and shouty but is kind and caring on the inside, Kankri is similar but as a Social Justice Warrior. He means well but his "outer shell" can come across as annoying and pretentious as he tries his BEST not to "trigger" people and as a cancer I can relate to both

Kankri is nice and notices a lot more than he lets on but he always tries to make everyone happy, even at the obvious detriment he caused. He care but he doesn't see the underlying connections.

honestly this is VERY kankri-like to me and i love the way you captured him in this.... him trying to help and hitting the nail RIGHT on the head but accidentally being a bit insensitive as a result seems pretty in character hgfjdhknv. GODDDD THE WAY KARKAT'S EYES WERE NORMAL AT THE START LIKE GHOSTS WHO HAVENT REALIZED THEYRE DEAD YET, BUT WHITE AT THE END. FUCK. its interesting to me how you chose to portray not just the meteor incident but ALL of his friends' deaths in this video, including those pre-meteor... it really pulls you out of focusing on just the meteorstuck tragedy and into the greater whole of karkat's feelings of failure as a leader. i like it a lot!! I prefer this depiction of kankri I know it's canon that everyone is annoyed by kankri and his rambling, but he's a Seer of Blood. I really like the idea that he corrects people because he _knows_ the deeper meaning behind statements that hurt their ancestors. And here, he sees Karkat, _his_ blood (though, paradoxically of course), and helps him to see.

I always got this feeling that Kankri, at the end of everything, besides being slightly miffed, he doesn’t particularly hate that the Dream Bubbles and himself are being destroyed. This animatic made me realise the trolls were so young at the time of murderstuck. They were 13. Kids. Extremely flawed and messed up kids, but kids nonetheless. It wasn't fair they went so early. And Karkat. Poor Karkat was also barely a teenager. A teenager with way too much responisibilty on his shoulders, and too big of a heart to say no to it. He tried so hard to keep everything from falling apart and everyone together, but with all the mess the game threw at them, there was nothing he could've done. Kankri is right. It was completely out of his control.

Ive never heard the last bit of audio and man does it add a lot to the scene. I gotta say I only recently found you and you've reawakened a lot of my old Homestuck heart.
