This movie was dope...underrated imo.. but at least the audiences liked it enough to give it good holds at the bo..i hope theres a sequel...Ben Affleck once again proves hes one of the greats though imo ..hes also somewhat underappreciated as an actor though he has far more respect these days but like Martin i never disliked Ben..even when he made bad movies like Gigli i still for the most part loved that guy but i never could imagine he'd have a resurgence as not only an actor but Director too

Ben Affleck plays an autistic person... Hello!! Isn't that one of the biggest points for him having no expression throughout the film? It's not because he's a shit actor, maybe it's because that's how his character was written. Also the ending to this film was really good and can't believe how you guys are calling this movie preposterous. This is one of the most well thought out action thrillers I've seen in a while. Maybe you guys couldn't really pay attention to the movie because you had a shit time with the audience. Completely disagree with you guys. One of the best movies I've seen this year.

I liked this movie, but recognize how its editing mirrored the "issues" of its protagonist. This movie would have made a great 8 - 10 episode series for Netflix. I have had experience with higher level autism behaviors. While I never noticed ninja abilities in individuals with Asperger's Syndrome, Ben Affleck really nailed the facial expression and behavior in social situations.

I love your show and enjoy every episode. I loved this movie, even with its flaws. As someone on the ASD spectrum, I need to address a few points. Korey, autistic people DO feel emotions, quite deeply. We just don’t express or show them the way most people do. Martin, your autistic friend is just one person, everyone on the ASD spectrum is very different. The movie had two main problems, in my opinion. The first is that it sincerely tried to show what a high-functioning adult on the spectrum would act, as opposed to the typical “movie autism” that audiences expect. The second problem is that “real” high-functioning autism is not very cinematic. Calm, expressionless adults who quietly do their jobs exceptionally well, just do not make for interesting characters. Still, I give the movie and the actors props for trying.

Korey, please render your videos in 60fps because they're being captured in 60fps and being rendered in 30fps and it gives a weird motion effect. It will improve the quality by a lot. You should also use 1080p with 5mb/s bit rate. Just a suggestion.

@CH-zc8qx8 жыл бұрын
First of all, it's not "Ass-burger", it's "as-PURR-ger". And tbh, I disagree with most of what you guys said. It's the part of playing an emotionless character whom somehow the audience can still get behind that is really difficult, and I thought Ben did an excellent job in this. Though to each his own.
@kevinsmithfan378 жыл бұрын
I don't trust your review on this one. I just have this view that whenever someone has to deal with bullshit during a screening it sours the movie more then it normally would. I walked out hating man of steel because i had someone talk all the way thru it. now did i love it? no, but it's no where near as bad as i thought it was when i left the cinema.

Sat in this movie and it was so boring. Couldn't believe I spent good money to see it when it came out. Scenes dragged on, too much was crammed into the movie. Would have been so much better to have just been about his childhood growing up. And also I thought this movie was a bit insulting to autistic people, plenty -if not the majority- don't have fits of rage or hit themselves constantly like this movie shows. It's not done tastefully either in the film, in fact in the beginning the dad refuses to take his son to see treatment. People should be offended at that message rather than a joke. SMH
