I'm conflicted because on one end I'm sad that they STILL have not blown up in terms of popularity, but on the other end it's kinda cool that they're sort of our little secret that only their OG fans know about.

Fair enough. But I feel like they would’ve blown up more if they kept making stuff like Fake Nice and other unique cuts from their debut instead of trying to be lesbian The 1975. This 80s/New Wave sound is starting to get over saturated in today’s music so you have to do something REALLY unique/special to stand out doing it and I don’t really think they are. Not saying it’s bad, but it’s certainly not standing out from the many other acts making similar sounding stuff. And to be clear I’m a fan that’s seen them live when they toured their first album and has some of their Merch.

as much as I enjoyed their "under the influence" album, I felt really disconnected from it overall. It was missing something in my opinion, the vibe that really hooked me the first time listening to their first album "when my heart felt volcanic". It brings me so much joy to hear the same sound from that album in this track but with a new and current flavor/vibe that is current to their artistic vision
