/* ---- VIDEO INFORMATION ---- */
Alright, let’s start off with a quick summary of the episode… Everybody is DEAD and QIMIR DID THE DEADING. Qimir pushed Sol to the edge and now all Sol’s friends are DEAD…including Jedi Guardian Knight Yord Fandar and Sol’s beloved padawan Jecki Lon…leaving Sol as the sole survivor of an absolutely insane clashing of blade from an unbelievably powerful Dark Side user.
When Osha wakes up at the start of the episode after being flung away by Qimir at the end of last episode, she witnesses Qimir easily handling the might of an entire squad of Jedi at once. But what is particularly remarkable about Qimir’s fighting style in this episode is how he is somehow able to completely disable the lightsabers of the Jedi…either by blocking lightsaber strikes with his arm or by smashing his helmet into the lightsaber itself.
But the question remains…HOW the hell did Qimir even do that shit? Is Qimir some type of indestructable superman that has the power to deactivate lightsabers with some magick power? Well…the good news is…no. Qimir’s physical form is still just as vulnerable to gettin sliced and diced by lightsabers like everybody else.
The reason why Qimir is likely able to deactivate the lightsabers of all the Jedi through a special type of metal that Qimir appears to have applied on his helmet as well as his arms…and it’s a special metal in the Star Wars universe called Cortosis.

The living Force created Anakin as a response to Plagueis apmost creating life using the dark side of the force. The universe saw that the sith were becoming almost unstopable so it created Anakin. Thats the entire point of the CHOSEN ONE.

I am not going to say you can’t enjoy it but there’s a lot of glaring issues with the show. As a Star Wars Series, it breaks cannon which if anyone tries disagreeing you are fighting against a brick wall and I don’t even want to talk about that. In a vacuum of its own accord it’s pretty boring and doesn’t make much sense from its own bad writing, terrible acting from majority of the actors, and the effects team being kinda ass which is a result of being over worked to hell. Many story elements are just dumb like “it’s impossible to kill a Jedi without a Lightsaber, so I am going to give you that task” then she kills two Jedi Masters without a Lightsaber (one even just kills himself which was also confusing), besides why does it matter to the Sith how the Jedi are killed, they don’t care just kill them it’s not important to how. Not to mention the main character just switching sides when she realizes that her sister is alive and even says “my loyalty is to my sister” acting like she didn’t try to kill her by burning down a colossal stone building that seemingly just erupted into flames in matter of minutes.

You are absolutely not an idiot. The show isn’t the best thing to ever happen to Star Wars, but it mostly continually gets better as it goes on. All the hate is coming from the Star Wars Theory worshippers who hate just because they want to. They don’t have any valid criticisms, and decided they were going to hate the show before it started and before it finishes. Don’t listen to them, their opinions are invalid

P.S. When Yord says, "he gets in your head and stays there," he means it literally. As an example, Mae is literally scared and as she running from him at one point, she is having flashes of him and he calls her a "coward" and says, "you were going to betray me." It's apart of the psychological effect he has on a Jedi while they fight him. Which is why it's hard for them to beat him.

I enjoyed the episode but someone really needs to go over to Disney and tell them how to write tv episodes... Episodes 4 and 5 shouldve been 1 complete episode. Its the same scripting issues they had with Andor all over again. Other than that, like I've been saying since episode 3, "Its always been the Sith". Mae has yet to ever acknowledge that she was the one responsible for the fire and I'm still not buying that Qimir is anything more than an Apprentice to the actual Master.

My biggest gripe with this episode was the editing. They would gave us neck deep in an epic fight then cut away to Osha or Mei just walking around. Then cut back in to the fight and then cut away for some other pointless exposition... It really took me out of it. This series cost like $1 million a minute, the episodes are already too short, just show us the fights that they were touting as being better than the Phantom Menace...

I have a feeling that Plagueis might be pulling the strings behind the coven, using them for his experiments. That is why he may have been the one that sent them to the stronghold on Brendock, and he would be able to remain hiding and blame the dead Jedi on them and Qimir, rather than the Sith. If the Jedi do go and investigate the dead Jedi, and find them all dead with lightsaber wounds, it could also possibly be written off that they might have been mind controlled by the remaining witch Quirel, who made them kill each other in revenge for what they had done to the witches, and that would keep the sith's influence hidden (as long as Sol doesn't make it back to the Jedi alive - but I feel like he will be killed by Mae or Osha, upon learning if his hand in her mother's death)

"I'm enjoying this show and no one is paying me to say this." Same. I genuinely don't get all the hate this show is getting. They keep saying "poor writing," just like they say for every show or movie they decide to review bomb, but come on, this show is written to the same level as 90% of the stuff people love. I'm not blown away by any of the dialog or the specific plot points, but that is not all there is to writing. There's also the bigger ideas, and those for this show I *AM* enjoying. The idea that the Jedi, no matter their intentions, make mistakes and can be responsible for tragedies. That is something that is sadly true in the real world as well. Good intentions can lead to poor results, and personal tragedies radicalize people into terrifying monsters. Also, a dogmatic belief that your way is the only TRUE way is always going to lead to systems of oppression. It's an interesting idea that in their way the Jedi were capable of the same kinds of evils as The Empire, because a rigid idea of being right can make people believe their destructive acts are necessary.

I just accept that I'm not going to love everything, and that's ok. I didn't love every Star Wars movie, and that was before the latest trilogy, so that is definitely not a "Disney" problem.

I just thought of something..... if that metal can "absorb energy", then it makes sense that it could absorb The Force as well, because, well, that IS "an energy field, created by all living things. It surrounds us, penetrates us, it binds the galaxy together" (Obi-Wan Kenobi: A New Hope). So, it makes sense that Sol can't read Qimir's thoughts while he's wearing it. While I've never heard of the metal, several "Breakdown" channels have also pointed out that it has been mentioned in canon material prior to this live action debut. Being disabled and on a fixed income, I can't afford the books and comics that come out, so I do rely on others to relay pertinent information from them. Also, to put it out there, while I do see a few "flaws" in the series, I'm able to ignore them because I'm really enjoying it otherwise. Yes, I'm being called a "Disney Shill", and even was referred to as "a stupid teenager who doesn't know shit" this morning in the comment section of another video about the episode. Which I thought was not only funny, but kinda flattering. I'm 57 years old, so being called a "teenager" is FAR from an insult to me. I mean, I do have a "younger mentality" than many people my age... but I've got a "recent" picture of me in my profile.... so that means I LOOK younger, too. =D I'll take that compliment all day long! Edit: I wonder if Qimir was using some form of Vaapad against Jecky? He seemed to keep her at bay until he found her weak spot and killed her. You know, like Mace Windu was known to do.... find the "shatterpoint" of an opponant.

This episode lost me in so many ways. How did Mae not know it was him? I was so excited Mae was going to give up everything she knew for her sister once she found out she was alive just to have her what? Attack her and leave her defenseless on a world with the Sith Lord slaughtering everyone and with deadly creatures in the forest?? That’s a huge 180. She could have talked with her sister a bit more about the night of the fire knowing that the Jedi “brainwashed” her. But just went right into knocking her unconscious and leaving her for dead with an infected wound while she slaughters the only people who could validate her side of the story?? And I didn’t see the whole healing thing so they didn’t really make that clear. And how did Kenoka die? Are we just not going to see the high budget fight scene? And if Sol explains what happened the night of the fire in like one or two sentences in the next episode, I’m going to be super pissed we waited for this. He had soooo many opportunities to say something moments before imminent death and said nothing. And why bring Osha along in the first place? She’s been nothing but a hindrance and he clearly doesn’t want to tell her the truth until they get back to Corosunt I’m so sick of the lazy writing from Disney. Just hire better writers. Is it that difficult? Why?????

I think all thoughts around Plagueis are misdirected. It feels like Mother Koril trained Qimir. The triangle wounds on Jecki, the mention of Qimir getting in your head like the Brendock witches - I think it all leads back to Koril, the witch we didn’t see in the aftermath of the fire. Either this story is a bottle story and has nothing to do with the canon sith line or, this is a young Plagueis who got to see the force create life and chased it for the rest of his life.

I think Qimir (younger dark side) and Sol (older light side) are the same person, or Force dyad. If Sol killed Qimir, the dark side will be reabsorbed and fully take over his consciousness. Sol wants to keep that from happening to the sisters, too, because they’re are the same as him. The Sith want to make one of the sisters as his apprentice

There's huge burn mark on his arm when he blocks the lightsaber so I'm guess he used the combo of the force and his harm to block it and then uses the force to heal himself while he continues to fight. He seems to have quite the skill for multi-tasking whereas the jedi seem to be one thing at a time.

I have to disagree with the comment about Palpatine influencing the Midichlorians in Shmi Skywalker. It was mentioned by Lucasfilm story group creative Executive Matt Martin that Palpatine did not create Anakin. Vader was having visions that may or may not have been true based on his thoughts. It can be inferred but it does not officially confirm it. However, is it possible that he is not Plagues but a dark side user Plagues is using in the same way Palpatine used Kylo? Palpatine may have copied a play-by-play book from Palpatine and succeeded where he failed by noting faults in his plan then executing them. Plageus may in fact behind the scenes be orchestrating both sides between the Jedi and the dark side users along with witch convents. Palpatine did end up working with the witches of Dathomir. There may in fact be a mole in the Jedi temple that needs to be revealed. Hopefully we get to see a young Palpatine with Plageus at least in the final episode to bring up that Qmir was just being used.

I get frustrated at the constant framing of the Jedi outside of actual Lucas canon. Yes, there were Jedi that were blinded by the reality that light can and does cause shadow. However… to the point of painting the Jedi in such ways as the enemy?! Uhhhh yeah, no. The Jedi are an order, this is fact. But it is well known and documented that many Jedi operated with their own agency. It was truly only those that sought to teach and master the Force that held positions of influence within the order and the councils. There was ALWAYS oversight. Does that mean it was perfect and unfaltering? No. There were many times that due to Jedi having their own agency that transgressions were made. This is why the Jedi demonstrated regulation and restrictions towards other Force wielding entities. It was to lower the chances of galactic wide outbreak of chaos and villainy. It is understood that for contents sake thoughts, challenges and perceptions must be explored but, it does not and should not be presented to undo the absolute good, justice and peace the Jedi had and still strive to ensure. If not for the Jedi we would see no growth or freedom within the galaxy. Hope would be a forgotten word and notion. The Jedi are embodiments of hope. No story telling told should eradicate hope. As the Force lives through all, so do we affect all with how we present ourselves to be with our actions and words. Always should we give hope. The Force guides us to do so. The Force is with us…. Always

The creator of the comic confirmed himself that Sidious actually had nothing to do with Anakins births, that vision was of Vaders deepest fears that he was created by his master since day one and he never truly had a different destiny. But that was just a fear brought to vision. Anakins was more like space Jesus I believe where the force itself gave birth to him with his mother idk it’s weirdly vague. Either way Sidious and Palagious had nothing to do with the birth of Anakin Skywalker

So I hope Quimir is just a random powerful force wielder and there isn’t some “outside” prophecy or tampering
