Let's not forget that besides Bazil, the jedi also got Osha's pip droid. Before Vernestra calls Mae to join her, a random Jedi is shown having the droid in his hand. That droid might have been reset, but was with Mae when they fought and when she made sol to say he killed his mother.. so all they need is to use the droid's stored information to find out there's a Sith.
