I watched some people reacting to the best episodes and nitpicking stuff that is self-explanatory lol Many of which were laughing at cortosis and what is this, why they never used it, lame, then realized that it was a part of Star Wars since a very, very long time. Or complaining that Jecki put a bigger fight than other Jedi, Not like apprentices showing better combat skills than their masters is anything new in the show. Or complaining about great choreography, saying they not aim to kill each other. Did they forget the lightsaber dancing in the prequels? Fights in Acolyte look much more like each strike is aimed to kill. Some people will do anything to say this is bad, even if they would like it when not told to hate it.

I also want a season 2, if for nothing else because I need to understand what happens with Qimir and Osha (and let’s not talk about Darth Plageuis in the shadows!) but it’s going to be strange because all the main characters except for Venestra, Mae and Osha are dead. Very few shows kill off the main characters in Season 1 like they did in this one and then do a Season 2. But I hope we get one none the less.

That's why Sol and this era's Jedi were so successful; they knew the difference between sparring/training competitive sport atmosphere Light Sabre duelling and actual on the battlefield lightsabre combat. It would be like someone with MMA training would that person in a life and death situation follow official UFC rules such as no strikes to the groin or eyes? Or would they use those strikes if the situation called for it? Same here it is the dumbest thing that in a combat situation there are banned lightsabre forms and banned techniques such as switching on and off your lightsabre or altering the length of your blade mid battle. Those thing make sense in a training atmosphere or if the Jedi have a duelling contest where like combat sports and martial arts tournaments rules and regulations need to be created and followed. Sol to me is one of the most logical and realistic fighters; as again he wasn't in a training situation but rather out on the field in actual combat

There are professionals present and on standby to stop the fight and address the issue. Most of all? Each opponent received the same training so their moves are predictable. Hell, you might even personally know your sparring partner! In a real world fight? All of that is out the window with the exception of possibly knowing your opponent so what is Sol is supposed to do? If you hate all new s.w. material, produced by disney, why do you waste your personal time viewing & then making negative comments? it's counter productive of one's personal life. 11. star wars has never, ever, been a perfect saga & hateful fans need to accept the truth in that.

34:45 If they killed all the Jedi, the Jedi would have known that something WAS indeed up! Allowing the whole team to return to Coruscant, allowed the Sith to live in secrecy and the Jedi to pin the deaths of the other Jedi on Sol. This was the only way Vernestra's cover story was going to work. Qimir told us what he wanted, an acolyte, and he got what he wanted! All his acolyte wanted was for her sister to leave in peace, and Qimir gave her that. Once they all got what they wanted, they wanted to get the hell off of Brendok, particularly Qimir! He knows what his former master is capable of--did you see how quickly he put his helmet on when she sensed him?! She scares the $#!+ out of him! This was a great series! You know what's absolutely crazy to think about and is one of my favorite things about this show in the new Canon? Qimir Is an absolute combat badass and has incredibly strong dark side powers. I would argue that he probably actually could rival easily Darth Maul. Maybe even go toe to toe Count Dooku. And that's absolutely fantastic because you then really start thinking how powerful Darth Plagueus is. If they do a season 2 which I hope so and they get to show off even a fraction of what Plageus can do. I will be absolutely pleased. It also makes sense because again plagueis's simple apprentice who can't best him easily. Best, a ton of Jedi both with the force and with combat so the fact that Plagueus trained Palpatine well and back then. This was the peak of the Jedi in terms of their masteries skill and ideology. It now absolutely makes sense why Palpatune can easily wreck their shit.

I wonder if they originally planned for both Tenebrous and Plagueis, and they ended up cutting Tenebrous last minute. Or if they replaced him with Plagueis last minute. Headland had wanted to tackle one of them at least, but was also cautious to not try to bite off too much and Tenebrous might've seemed like a safer bet. She also had Filoni advising her. This show is great, not perfect but definitely a nice setup for a future series. Hope they continue the show ❤

Good and evil are concepts of the Jedi, the Sith don’t see themselves as evil, they see themselves as right and the Jedi as hypocrites who deny themselves the use of the true power of the force. Osha isn’t evil, she acted based on emotions and the evidence she had before her not out of direct malice. You aren’t evil until you let the dark side in and give yourself to it wholly, no Sith eyes, no Sith. I hope they do a second season, so many questions and we need insight into how a fallen Jedi got into Plagueis’s hands and what went down between him and his master that she thinks he died, she had that happen to two padawans.

Regarding Plagueis’ potential involvement in Anakin’s origin, Legends already had it that he was indirectly responsible in that it was a reaction of the Force to his attempts to create a permanent imbalance in it. Canonically we know that Plagueis was obsessed with gaining power over life and death. It seems no great leap to combine these two ideas: the Force reacts to Plagueis’ attempts to achieve immortality by creating the chosen one.

Overall, I enjoyed this series. There were lots of elements that didn't work, but many things that did. The choreography of the fight scenes (the lightsaber battles, defensive moves and martial arts were just fantastic), seeing a kyber crystal being bled for the first time, a live action Darth Plagueis and Wookie Jedi on the rampage, and some major creep factor on Brendok and Kohfar. I appreciated seeing more of the politics of the Jedi during the HR era, and we got some truly top notch acting from Master Sol, Qimir and Mother Aniseya. The twins were, unfortunately, the least compelling characters which, as they were the leads, dragged things down for me. There was also some really clunky and lackluster dialogue, underutilized characters who could have been so much more, and I often found the pacing to be problematic. All that said, I'd still watch a second season. Seeing Qimir and Osha holding hands while both grasping the lightsaber makes me wonder if it is a portent for conflict to come. With Darth Plagueis around to be master who will be chosen as the apprentice and what happens to the one who loses? Does Vernestra tell Yoda the whole truth or a partial truth mixed with lies? Will she and Mae find Qimir, and will Yoda be involved in some way? These are all sufficiently intriguing for me to come back for more ✌️😁#istilllovestarwars #istillhaverespectformastersol #ineedaseason2

biggest plot issue is Osha being relatively ok with teaming up with Qimir, despite everything he did to people she cared about. Other than that and some subpar directing, show was fine. 7/10. it didnt deserve all the hate

I see a lot of people saying people are nitpicking. Then Can someone explain why Mae changes her motives twice an episode? Or why they have to leave Mae behind for the Jedi to catch her? How does Mae always seem to escape. How does no one care that Mae was identified as the killer of Indara. While sol was on Coruscant the whole time? All those Jedi including Mundi are okay with that? Bazil the weasel still knows everything. He witnessed it all. On top of the fact he was there for what reason? dialogue was horrible. Why didn’t mother anasyia tell sol from the start that osha chose him instead let’s Koril and others get defensive. Then try’s to evaporate with Mae before telling sol. This is just off the top. Someone please. Let’s have a conversation about this. I agree there are many people choosing to just hate it, but on the other side there’s people just choosing to love everything . It’s okay to be critical. Show is 6/10 at best. What was Mae about to tell the Jedi before Sol stunned her when the coms came back online ? The force is only used when the plots needs it. Mae cares for her sister but tried to leave her on the planet and return with sol? She wants to turn herself in but fights Jeckie when she try’s to arrest her?

The people saying this show was good are not real Star Wars fans and are trippin. The only thing good about this show was the lightsaber fight in episode 5 I believe. Everything else was a shit show 😂😂 3/10 for me.

This show just sucked.... it just wasn't good.... acting, writing, story... you're putting way more thought into this than the writers and the show runners ever did. I'm thinking maybe it's a generation thing. I saw star wars in the theater when I was 7 and it was amazing. Movies and TV just aren't the same (not in a good way) , I guess we had higher expectations.Had to add this.. people like you are the reason we have crappy star wars content. Had to add again lol. If Grace Randolph couldn't defend this episode or the series than you guys are just full of garbage.

It’s f***in bizarre isn’t it? 😂 I’ve made the offer to so many KZbinrs to actually discuss Disney SW with me live… coz at this point I JUST WANNA UNDERSTAND!!! WHAT ABOUT THIS SHIT IS APPEALING TO YOU??? 😅 not a single one has bitten so far, colour me shocked lol I’m currently watching “Life On Mars” the 2006 British show and FUCK me, if Disney could pull even a FRACTION of the depth of characters and stories the likes of this show had, holy fuck how awesome Star Wars could still be… But in stead we’ve got $180,000,000 Star Wars fucking Cartoon Network or whatever that fever-dream live action U.S. kids’ channel is…. Nickelodeon!!! That’s it!!! 😂

@Recrussio You might want to unpack why people who like subjective material bother you this much.
@Recrussio4 ай бұрын
@@virgo_things just FYI, there’s no such thing as “subjective material”; that’s just a concept you’ve made up because it’s convenient for you. But to your point, I could spend hoouuurrs explaining it to you if you’re actually interested. I suspect you’re not; you just wanted to feel clever. But I’m down if you want to talk about it live, what do you say?

@Recrussio You're right. I don't care to listen to you berate anyone for liking a show or movie that is, in fact, entirely subjective because I'm a sane person. I'm sorry people having opinions that don't align with yours is so hard for you to accept. But the world doesn't revolve around you. The sooner you figure that out, the happier you'll be. Might I suggest not devoting so much of your time and energy focusing on something you're well aware you don't like. Especially only to rip on the people who do like it. Star Wars crybabies are, without a doubt, the absolute worst fandom these days. You truly make the rest of us look bad. There are real problems in the world. Being a prick to the fandom you claim to love should be at the very bottom of your list. I can't imagine dedicating this much of my time hating people over something this f*****g silly. GROW UP.

@@virgo_things Alrriiiigggghtyyy **cracks knuckles** 1. "You're right. I don't care to listen to you berate anyone for liking a show or movie" - yep, you're a pussy. you can only sling shit at people from behind a keyboard. haha you're a dime a dozen mate. 2. "a show or movie that is, in fact, entirely subjective" - haha no mate, the material isn't subjective; an individual's JUDGEMENT of it is what's subjective. It's ok, you didn't pay attention in school, it's never too late though 👍 3. "because I'm a sane person" - lol 4. "I'm sorry people having opinions that don't align with yours is so hard for you to accept" - hahaha yep so if that's what's going on in your imagination, good for you. I know people have different opinions from mine; if I find them objectionable or even reprehensible I interrogate that difference. Because the idea is what's important to me; not the feelings of whoever might be espousing it at the time. The fact that morons like you so easily confuse the two is part of the reason studios can get away with producing such slop. if you're happy with that, great. If you expect to bring anyone else down to your level, you're gonna keep running into conflict 😉 5. "But the world doesn't revolve around you" - Ever heard of a straw man argument by any chance?... fuckin clown 😂 6. "Might I suggest not devoting so much of your time and energy focusing on something you're well aware you don't like" - my god, the irony... I'mma hazard a guess here... are you american by any chance? anyway, prick, I love Star Wars. This has ostensibly been established as 'part' of the story of Star Wars. That matters to me. If it doesn't matter to you... you could fuck off? 🤔 7. "Especially only to rip on the people who do like it" - If people want to publish their views on a piece of media on the internet, I'm happy to respond to and criticise those views. Who the FUCK do you think you are trying to shut that down? What the fuck pussy little speech-crime hole did you crawl out of?? 😂😂😂 8. "Star Wars crybabies are, without a doubt, the absolute worst fandom these days" - "Brain-dead Disney simps are, without a doubt, the absolute worst fandom these days". I'm happy to discuss this with you live, man to man, you pathetic little keyboard warrior. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the inescapable reality that this is the worst received Star Wars property ever put to film... I'd love to hear you reconcile the fact that the "crybabies" seem strangely aligned with the entire fucking world's abysmal appraisal of this garbage show... 😂😂😂 9. "You truly make the rest of us look bad" - yeah except your maths is a little off mate. "The rest of you" as you put it... constitute 14% of the population... and that's charitable; not everyone lives on the internet buddy hahahah 10. "There are real problems in the world" - I'm not gonna waste time explaining the fallacy of relative privation to you. 11. "being a prick to the fandom you claim to love" - hahahahah what?? When did I say that??? That's a mighty convenient way for YOU to frame it!! hahaha. I don't love the fandom... I love Star Wars... god damn, why did you think THAT one would fly?? What a moron.... 😂 12. "I can't imagine dedicating this much of my time hating people over something this fucking silly" - hahahahaha so what're you doing here? 😂😂😂 Do yourself a favour son, look up "argumentum ad hominem". Should be a fun read. Mate... if your standards are so fuckin low that this absolute bin juice is palatable to you, AWESOME. I'm happy for you. But some people actually have an appreciation for artists who dedicate themselves to producing something meaningful; something that not only doesn't waste an audience's time; but rewards it and leaves them with something to think about, something to take away, something fulfilling in some way. If this empty, contradictory, lazy, thirsttrap, soap opera garbage is enough for you, you can have it. You can also fuck off 👍😊

As somebody who enjoyed the series as a whole... good concepts, spotty execution... I thought this last episode was a bit of a train wreck. Probably my least favorite episode of the series. None of the emotional moments landed for me, and I found myself constantly taken out of the episode as I attempted to figure out character motivations.
@Thekingcmk4 ай бұрын
There should only be talk of a 2nd season if they replace all the writers and producer. One scene near the end of this episode doesn't make up for a terrible show the rest of the season.
