This series has been great for both me (self taught forever, never learned theory) and my young son (playing a year or so). Yesterday I explained the lesson "you take the major scale, go up it by arpeggiating the major 7, then back down the scale, then go to 2 and repeat" and none of those terms really meant anything to either of us two weeks ago
