Man this was so fun. Out of context - great music. In-context....amazing experience. And how the whole end of Act 1's music is tied together in the boss fight piece? Absolutely stunning. Not to mention the lore of the Ezomytes tied in as well - their gods are much more on the "animalistic" side compared to the other civilizations, and the poem references some Ezomyte lore. These people go way, way back, and while the Count was manipulated by Oriana into this madness, as you play through, the other characters from this region recall when the Count was just....the leader of this area. While the people are happy to see him go from this form, they lament that he had become this in the first place. It's beautifully tragic. Can't wait for more.

@DimkaTsv6 күн бұрын
It's not as hard of a boss for ranged character with some damage (and Marco HAD damage). Cleared with my mercenary first try. If anything first boss of Act 2 (Centaur) probably harder for him. But don't get me wrong, 2 try clear is still respectable. For melee though, it is damn annoying, as second phase is very limited on openings. And last 25% are even more so painful, as corrupted ice beams begin to appear randomly, don't require boss animation, happen at any phase and inflict corrupted blood dot on top of hit damage. Cleared with my monk on... Idk 5-6 try? But now on monk i probably clear bosses easier than on merc. Bell + flurry + lightning infusion + unbound elements are brutal in terms of damage. Right now (cruel act 1) bosses take around 40-50 seconds to kill, or around 3 bell casts. Part of this time is needed to get my first power stack to cast infusion. Ogham boss theme is great though. It is published on KZbin as OST, afaik...
@XaldirGodofGood5 күн бұрын
@@DimkaTsv So, I just ask because I'm being curious, if People say how hard the Bosses are for Melee Characters, are we talking standard difficulty or Hardcore, because I play Warrior, first Time, no Guides or anything and I don't have much Problems, but as I kinda mentioned, I play on Standard so does that make the difference?
@DimkaTsv5 күн бұрын
@@XaldirGodofGood Standard, of course... Hardcore difference is that it is absolutely brutal. Death is permanent there. Usually character that died in hardcore will be moved to standard, but i guess for now in EA standard is where almost everyone is playing.
@XaldirGodofGood4 күн бұрын
@@DimkaTsv Okay, then I guess going for as much DPS and Stun as possible was a good Idea, because as I said, I have a really Fun Time with my Two Handed Warrior^^
@DimkaTsv4 күн бұрын
@@XaldirGodofGood oh, for warrior it is definitely a strat. For my monk stun is cosequence, not direct intent. Even though it makes bursting way easier... Basically enemy stuns on first or second bell, and then gets 2 more bell cast triggers into it... With unbound fury it just melts enemies. In cruel acts i managed to see Count Geanor, Crowbell, and Jamanra safety thresholds. For Crowbell, he gets insane resistances to damage, and starts to run away. For others when you get close to around 10-20% HP they will become invincible, until they phase.

not sure if posted but, Your Pulse Quickens.. The Eternal Impure.. With Bloodlust Empowered.. Our Ezomyr Endured.. But soon all were devoured.. In unending war.. Death waited at the door.. Then hour by hour... Men fell as summer soured. You are Hunted.. Fang, tooth and claw.. Tortured under the moon.. The pack suffered but endured.. And howled now in tune.. No Tales were told.. None new, None old.. And their endless hunger... Grew even stronger. As night Falls.. Winter's Chills.. Sought the Unworthy.. Through an Endless Night.. They Wither and Tarry.. Forsaken Frosts.. As Cold as Death.. Of Beira's Misery... The Pack wont Forget. The air grow colder.. Agnar the ruined.. Agnar the impaler.. As swift as death.. And imbued by the moon.. Cursed or gifted.. Branded and Afflicted.. Your veins soon chilled... Agnar shall slay again.

The music and overall tone reminds me of how I felt when we were first shown the Diablo 4 opening cinematic. If only the rest of that game followed that same tone. Thankfully PoE2 is here and seems to be doing just that.

great job! the music in the game is so good and a lot of it clearly inspired from D2. Just a little tip to help you in the future, dont overuse your dodge roll. The recovery animation slows you down compared to just running, so you want to use it as a last second dodge instead of just using it constantly. For example when he does the red ring aoe drop on you (the attack that always gets you) and you're in the centre, pressing dodge roll to get out isnt far enough and you get slowed and get hit. You want to just start running out, then use the dodge at the last second to escape the aoe. Hope that helps, enjoy the game

The VA in tandem with the music really stole the show for me. It sounds like some false chord vocalization to me just as a metalhead, but someone with more familiarity with the techniques could probably define it better. Either way it sounds awesome and gives those lines that primal volume.

I found this fight to be very fair compared to that mage king in the forest. Although it did take me four tries to take the count down by trying to make the molten blast on warrior stronger, I ended up being one swing from death, and I would've died since the count swung st the same time as I hit him, but luckily that didn't happen. A great final boss for Act 1.

Kamil is such an awesome composer, i'm a huge fan of his. I still find myself unsure if Path of Exile 2's music is actually better than POE1's music but it certainly is at least on equal par. But Path of Exile 1's music is insane. Legion is my favorite and Fall of Oriath is what i think of when i think of POE1. That said, POE2's music is... different... in a good way. Boss musics are just always perfect though. And Kamil is not remotely done showing off with POE2. We ain't seen nothing of what Kamil can do with his music after the lessons of Path of Exile 1. Not even close.

I love how the beast form is underlined by kind of the Witcher instrumentarium, heavy folk sounds. I love it because it sounds awesome, but also because it shows that we have a clear animalistic, bestial trope that goes back to the Witcher games.
