It is crazy too -- the industry runs at a loss. The loss of the forests and diversity is greater. Unfortunately, the Tasmanian government doesn't have any integrity enforcement, and lots of people don't know about the value of our forests, or get cast into the political arguments by a highly-concentrated media environment.

Keep fighting the good fight! We can save this planet for the future of humanity before the greed of men ends it for us all.

Not sure if these humans will be remembered for their contributions in centuries to come unlike those few who stood out individually & were at a public place to become famous, but our future will definitely be different because of their efforts. Good work & I hope they keep doing it. Someone has to care otherwise the land will be full of concrete jungles with only artificial things to enjoy. I hope the world does not become entirely human-centric, full of humans unable to think outside of the societal bubbles.

The forest was almost protected in 2013, but everything was tossed by a new government, even though both sides had reached an agreement -- there was very little value left in logging the forest (today it runs at a loss, because the quota is unsustainable for workers), and industries like apiculture and tourism are bigger despite being undermined. Old-growth vital habitat under 85m tall can be turned into woodchips. The World Heritage are is the _highest rated in the world!_

No mining is justified at the cost of trees and environmental hazards.

The guy with a beards voice is so relaxing, he should do stuff like tell everyone why you should protect forests, or read books

Guy Barnett is definitely on MMG's payroll. I bet if there was a thorough investigation into his finances there would be a lot that doesn't add up.

such an old & common tactic..REALLY old..& a disappointment..as, normally, I sing the praises of AJE documentaries..but you just lost me because you employed a VERY old & tried act: using the 1st half of your chosen presentation or 'documentary' to make 'the other' & in this case, the environmentalists, look honorable & good. but THEN you did a cold & disingenuous *hack job* on them *right after* THAT moment. & if you ALSO decide to *pretend* it was just a matter of choosing a random doco & then *claim* your presenters & production teams remain objective [vs. sociopathically neutral]] then it's even MORE obvious that you, for whatever self-interested on whatever level reasons, are operating on the WRONG side of history. *PLEASE* start using your powers for GOOD, from here on out.

Yes they don't put enough emphasis on the vast majority who are disadvantaged (the natural, economic, people, etc.), compared to the typical group who are always going to spruik logging and the stereotypical 'Tasmanian' worker in political rhetoric -- airing this repetition is just giving a platform to propaganda if it's not debunked with all the science and small business community
