I bought my first ball today and it was the Wolverine dark moss, I just wanted to say I appreciate you helping us beginners!

Surface of the lane doesn't actually change the balls surface. The ball return system (belts and wheels) are what actually change the surface of the ball to what we call 'Lane shine'. The stable surface of a bowling ball is around 4700.
@jfabritz2 жыл бұрын
If it was the lane, it would only show up in your track, not the entire ball.

If the shiny balls get dull and the dull balls get shiny, does that mean it’ll eventually circle back around? 🤯
@popanda36522 жыл бұрын
they'll all eventually get to whatever grit your lane is then stop changing

Has Jesse ever tried using thumb? I've always been a two finger bowler, use one hand. But trying to change things up as I don't feel like I can be super consistent. Avg 185-190 but have the occasional 250 game. Any tips or recommendations are appreciated.
@tropepe2 жыл бұрын
To get over the 200 average you just have to be consistent with your spares and get a double

love the vids and the funny parts of previous vids but I'm wondering if the giveaway once they hit 100k subs, do they ship to different countries XD. I don't live in America but I watch these to improve a bit. avg 200 bowler but sometimes 230 games

I appreciate that DTang went and threw a few at a much different, perhaps more "normal" range (much straighter) with this ball. I've also heard many "complaints" about it hooking sooner than the original. Of course, surface matters. That said, Dark Moss looks *sweet* on the shelf and on the lanes.

I got this drilled like my phaze 4 and it hits like a truck, a half decent 725 with it for the first night of fall league so I'll say that's good 😁

What app do we see you using to track your bowling statistics?
@rexorkay88912 жыл бұрын
Okay so I have uc2, hyroad max and those are some of my most powerful, I’m assuming this would fit right under in terms of hook then I have my nova which tends to hook less due to it being early and axiom, does this sound about right? I’ve always wanted a Wolverine I just want to make sure it fits in my bag right 😂
I've been trying to work on spine tilt (per Brad and Kyle) and cannot figure out the trick to release my ball relatively close to the ankle like you do (or pretty much everyone else does). I'm releasing close to my knee. Any tips on getting lower?
@gpmaster33282 жыл бұрын
Are you bending your knee on your release?
@SuperJ2132 жыл бұрын
@@gpmaster3328 Yeah, just not as much as others. Brad and Kyle had a video on spine tilt and that's where I see the biggest difference. I am not as bent over as most bowlers when releasing the ball. When I try to focus on it at a bowling alley, even the smallest change feels huge in my mind, and then I watch video footage and I may be an inch lower or something. So basically I'm scratching my head wondering if there's a technique to go lower. As it is, my ball has a small loft out on to the lanes when I throw it which is fine as far as scoring goes and such, but I am hoping to get more a few more feet of ball-on-the-lane contact which may (or may not) be helpful on certain lane conditions.
@steveg70182 жыл бұрын
It’s an old trick…stack pillows and blankets at the base of your couch. In about half power…standing how you would finish at the foul line…swing back and release. Bowl 3 game sets like this to get the muscle memory. It’s basically working backwards to move forward.
@SuperJ2132 жыл бұрын
@@steveg7018 I'll give it a go. Thanks for the suggestion.
@steveg70182 жыл бұрын
Remember to that leverage is your friend. Optimal release projects the ball into the lane. Too much forward tilt projects the ball down into the lane and changes your ball reaction.

good point about different styles. I get a ton of value from my hustle wine and hyped solid. had to knock my wine down to 1k because I was too deep and my pin action was sub par. my pso recommended it and most people around me were like "why?" then I immediately 4 bagged after 3 or 4 wrap 10s. leave the nerd stuff to these pros man. they know what they are talking about. of the 3 or 4 wines in my league mine is the only one with a surface and my pin is like 6" over "2 up? it's around there somewhere.
