@spartan46484 жыл бұрын
@@HEZEKYHWH eto'o gungidga hehehhe
@EmJeRo144 жыл бұрын
@@HEZEKYHWH yes since the root of the inaccuracy is in the dimensional discrepancy. If the Earth is flat, then a flat depiction should be able to accurately represent it. Since that is not the case, the Earth must be spherical. Well, an oblate spheroid to be exact.
@HEZEKYHWH4 жыл бұрын
And a 2d map can depict a spherical earth. Its call shading and contrast. How do you think we artist depict portraits and make them look 3d? with shading and contrast.....
@EmJeRo144 жыл бұрын
@@HEZEKYHWH no, it cannot. You realize map is a tool used to accurately navigate a place while a portrait is just art for entertainment, right? Saying a 2d map can be used to make portraits with contrast and shadings is the stupidest thing I've heard. A 2d surface can be used to make 3d portraits from ONE angle, yes. But to make a map, you need to depict ALL the surfaces of the spherical Earth with accurate positioning, accurate measurements, and accurate distancing. If you look at maps of the Earth, you'll notice that the grid is not just squares but oblate to signify that the Earth itself has an oblate shape, hence, making an accurate depiction of it on paper or other 2d surfaces is next to impossible, since converting a 3d surface to a 2d one takes out details, not to mention the ever changing form of the lands due to tectonic plate movements, movement of the Earth's pole, and other geological events that affect it. Saying a portrait is a mal is just stupid. Portraits don't even depict the WHOLE object it represents, then you claim it's a "2d map". Lol

When I lived in the dorms we had a pair of guys who were nerds and everytime there was a really bad storm and a traffic light(s) got torn off because of the wind they would collect them and put them in their room as displays. It was astonishing to see how big and heavy they really were. One night they were drinking and invited me into their room to play "volley ball" with strobe lights. It was hilarious~because the room was pitch black and everytime we'd "see" the ball, it was already too late to hit it back. They were nice boys who did these kind of things because they were just too shy to talk to girls or create relationships with people on the same floor.

At 10:10, that's actually Khafre's pyramid, but most people make the mistake of calling it the Great Pyramid. 2 ways to remember the difference: 1. Khafre's pyramid has some of the original white limestone at the top (all of the pyramids were originally covered with an outer layer of white limestone) 2. The Great Sphinx sits in front of Khafre's pyramid. Khafre's looks bigger because it was built on higher ground than Khufu's (the Great Pyramid).

The first time I saw anything up close to the pyramids that helped put it more into perspective for me was in the Transformers movie when it showed the actors actually on the structure and one could then see how huge each stone is. I can picture and put into perspective the height and width by comparing to buildings, but it really brings it in when you realize the stones are so huge!!!

My family went to see the sequoias in the 1990s, and I got a photo standing in front of it with my dad, wearing THE MOST 90s shirt ever! The Grand Canyon is another one that blew my mind. It doesn't even look real, but like a painting.

The great pyramid doesn't have those smooth stones at the top. You kept showing pictures of the the pyramid of Khafre, not the great pyramid of Khufu.
