I’m a dark skin black woman and was teased and bullied for not only being dark and “burnt” but “talking white” and being “weird”. It was hurtful stuff and caused issues for me that I didn’t even know were still around as recently as 2 years ago. The one thing that has helped me immensely, by the grace of God, has been therapy. I was in counseling pretty much all the years I was in school, and remain in therapy to this day. Granted, I’m a woman, so I might see things a little differently (as in I might be more open to therapy) but it’s helped. He’s coping by keeping all this bottled up inside and getting revenge through asserting dominance and gaining wealth but, as we can all see, it’s taking a major toll on him. I don’t like him or his music much, so this is not a glaze in the least bit, but hopefully he gets the help he needs because he’s only going to become more emboldened by his bitterness and that’s a place you don’t want to be. Hopefully this beef taught him a thing or two about himself.

I wonder what was Drake’s childhood like. From what has been put out there, his father wasn’t around much so his mother raised him and of course he was on Degrassi during his teens and early adult years before linking up with J Prince who then sent him to Wayne. As someone who is currently studying psychology to become a psychologist someday, I like to know how people’s childhoods were because those years along with your teenage years define who you are later. Trauma, abuse, etc. can show up later in life if not addressed properly and can even lead to addiction.

It seems like he was always with his mom’s family also you have to remember he was rejected a lot by girls growing up too. So now that he has fame, no one woman rejects him. If they do he has a tantrum. Hence his mom was an enabler who gave him whatever he wanted and lacked discipline. My 2 yr old also has tantrums when you say no and if you give him what he wants he just wants more and more and never satisfied
