I love watching the gotcha day videos. I love watching the babies go from petrified to still and quiet observing. Then by the same night or very next day they are smiling and playing. How quickly a mothers love wraps itself around her new baby and they begin to bond. Daddys too. Amazing what a lil love can do.

Have you adopted a child in need? How can you be critical of others?
@kerri7595 жыл бұрын
All the toys and candy at the time of adoption are not going to help their heartbreak. It takes time. They always end up very happy within days maybe hours. I think these kids should be adopted earlier. I notice the older they are the more traumatic it is. That is not the adoptive parents fault.
@rebornsnuzzles25735 жыл бұрын
Actually, we now know that there is no adoption without trauma...even in the case of a newborn baby, who is less capable of expressing their grief. I'm a Bioethicist and this is the current focus of my work. You can track on MRI how the trauma of adoption literally changes the way the brain maps in newborn babies and infants. Paula Thomson, Ph.D., “Early pre- and post-natal experiences, including early trauma, are encoded in the implicit memory of the fetus, located in the subcortical and deep limbic regions of the maturing brain. These memories will travel with us into our early days of infancy and beyond and more importantly, these early experiences set our ongoing physiological and psychological regulatory baselines.”

Reborn Snuzzles that is very interesting but some of the children that are adopted seem very happy right from the start while the older ones seem devastated. 2-3 .

@@kerri759 Some of adopted children seem happy. Yes, that is true, that they seem happy. What is really happening behind closed doors, knows parents of those children. In some or many cases adopted children suffer on many ways and because of that need professional help. Don't judge based on some photos where children are laughing in new clothes. Only some of very open parents are ready to speak weather or how their children passed the transition after adopting. I don't refer for a second on this family on whose channel we are commenting, just commenting in general.

Hoje essa criança deve estar com uns 19, 20 anos. Graças à Deus que foi adotada, porque muitas nessa época morreram. Como será que ela está agora? Feliz? Com certeza! Abraços.

She was attached to her Nanny. That's why she was sad at being totally upended in her life. She got quite happy by the end of the video, smiling and accepting both her mother and me. She is now 21 and an A student at Georgia Tech. She's a great daughter and I am so proud.

How awesome! Fwiw, you've probably heard similar comments before, but y'all's video was the first Chinese adoption video our friend saw prior to adopting twice in 2014 and 2017 - from very different Chinese provinces. (Sorry for the dense trolls in comments: hoping that the love and admiration far outweighs them.) Paz y luz

To me the worst thing to do is pass that sweet child back and forth between mom and nanny or foster mom, they will just be confused and make it even harder

No it doesn't. It's building trust
@mortalclown38125 ай бұрын
Lisa, you're urged to look into the adoption process they've used for many years: it establishes trust - insofar as possible - between the child and the adults in their lives. It helps to assuage against the feeling that they have been taken.
