A baby in California is desperate for a heart transplant. A health care facility in Florida offers a model of the hospital of the future. A religion has its members living up to 10 years longer than most. It's all part of the story of an American-born faith - The Seventh-day Adventists.
The Adventists is a multi-storied documentary film that explores a church that couples a firm belief in the near Second Coming of Christ with a remarkable focus on health, wholeness and well-being. Born out of the religious fervor of the mid-19th century (portrayed here in historic reenactments), Adventists today are living longer and seemingly healthier lives, and are the subject of numerous studies to understand why.

My neighbor is seventh day Adventist the best neighbor I had I visited the church. Every human being is different. Just because you are seven day Adventist doesn’t make you exactly like the person sitting next to you. That is the same in all churches. My understanding is Ellen G White was Methodist She had nothing to do with the 10 Commandments. Jesus said remember the sabbath day. I read some of her books. She is just another profit with a modern message… In the time of Jesus, the prophets were neglected and hated also … The best book I ever read by her, was called the great controversy …

1. Medical Work: Loma Linda University Health, the medical arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, has been a leader in healthcare for over a century, operating within the principles of health reform that Ellen G. White advocated. The institution promotes a whole-person care approach, emphasizing physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Ellen White’s blueprint highlighted the importance of lifestyle, diet, and preventive care, and the Adventist healthcare system remains a global leader in promoting plant-based diets, exercise, and lifestyle medicine. The Blue Zones study, which identified Loma Linda as one of the regions with the longest-living populations, underscores their adherence to her health principles. 2. Publishing Work: The Seventh-day Adventist publishing houses, including Pacific Press and Review and Herald, continue to distribute literature that reflects Ellen White’s vision of spreading the gospel. While technology has changed how publishing operates, the focus remains on creating and distributing material that promotes biblical truths, health reform, and spiritual development. Ellen White’s counsel to distribute literature broadly is still applied, although the format (digital and print) has evolved. 3. Educational Work: Seventh-day Adventist education remains one of the most comprehensive Christian educational systems worldwide, with thousands of schools and universities globally. Institutions like Andrews University and Southern Adventist University emphasize the holistic educational model Ellen White outlined, focusing on spiritual, intellectual, and practical training. The goal of preparing students for service and character development remains central to their mission. While some may argue that these areas have evolved from the exact “blueprint” Ellen White described due to modern complexities, it’s important to recognize that the foundational principles of health, education, and publishing remain aligned with her core teachings. Thus, the Seventh-day Adventist Church continues to follow the spirit of Ellen White’s counsel in each of these areas, though adaptation has occurred to meet contemporary challenges and opportunities.

So with 1798 being the start of the time of the end why would it surprise you that Satan has set up his own churches to deceive people? The protestant revolution started a few hundred years before that because the Roman church had completely fallen and taught that God was someone to be afraid of instead of upholding His saving power to change our life.

The SDA onlu believed in One True God the Father and believed that Jesus is really Gods Divine Son who was begotten. They also believed in the biblical understanding of the Holy Spirit which is referred to of Gods mind and the mind of Christ. Now the SDA church believes in three gods. god the father god the son and god the holy spirit.

Ellen G. White, one of the key founders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, affirmed the belief in the **Godhead** or the **Trinity**, which consists of three divine persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Throughout her writings, White consistently emphasized the unity and co-eternity of these three distinct persons in the Godhead. Here are some key points from her writings: 1. **The Divinity of Christ**: Ellen White strongly affirmed the eternal divinity of Jesus Christ. In her book *The Desire of Ages*, she wrote, "In Christ is life, original, unborrowed, underived." (*The Desire of Ages*, p. 530). This highlights her belief in Jesus' equality with the Father, being fully divine and eternal. 2. **The Holy Spirit**: White also identified the Holy Spirit as a distinct and divine person. In one of her most notable statements, she wrote, "The Holy Spirit is a person, for He beareth witness with our spirits that we are the children of God... The Holy Spirit has a personality, else He could not bear witness to our spirits and with our spirits that we are the children of God." (*Evangelism*, p. 616-617). This shows her clear belief in the personhood and divinity of the Holy Spirit. 3. **The Three Persons in Unity**: Ellen White described the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as working together in unity to accomplish the plan of salvation. In *The Great Controversy*, she wrote, "There are three living persons of the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers-the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit-those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these powers will cooperate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their efforts to live the new life in Christ." (*Evangelism*, p. 615). In summary, Ellen White upheld the belief in the **Trinity**, with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as co-eternal, distinct persons within the Godhead, working together in unity for the salvation of humanity. Her writings strongly support the doctrinal understanding of the Trinity within the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

1toSabbath Fr20Sep2024 AmesIAUSA 1845 🌕 🌕 🌕 ◽ He mentioned that Adventists believe in the soon end of the world. I don't know that is accurate. We do believe in the soon second coming of Jesus Christ. The world will still be here after. In a sense, it is an end of the world as we think of it. The world will still be here for a 1,000 years. Then after it will continue to be here for eternity. So, Adventists believe the second coming of Christ is soon. Do not sign up to an idea of a rapture, as many teach. Not apart from the rapture which will take place at the second coming. Do not encourage setting a date of when Jesus will return. I personally do set a date for the second coming, all the way to the minute. That is me. 🌕 🌕 🌕 💚💚💚

Sadly the Adventist teach that Ellen White writings are the Spirit of prophecy and fulfill the scripture in Revelation 14:12. It is the testimony of Jesus, not Ellen G. White. What blasphemy to teach such. As to keeping the commandments, the Ten Commandments in Ex. 20: were given to the Israelites. Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you that you love one another as I have loved you”. John 13:34. The SDA church is not a fulfillment of Revelation 14:12, or 12:`17. Their medical work is second to none.. Sadly their claims to be the Remnant church are in error!..There is no church, sect, or cult that fulfills scripture in their claim to be the True church.

How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Mt 7:21-24 has a message for you as well.

1. **Spirit of Prophecy and Ellen G. White**: - The Seventh-day Adventist Church does indeed recognize Ellen G. White’s writings as the "Spirit of Prophecy," but they do not claim that her writings replace the Bible or that she is the source of prophecy. Instead, Adventists believe that Ellen White’s gift of prophecy is in harmony with the biblical gift described in Revelation 19:10, which states, "For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." This testimony is understood by Adventists to be the work of the Holy Spirit, manifested in various ways, including through individuals like prophets. - Ellen White herself emphasized that her writings should not replace Scripture but point people back to it: "Little heed is given to the Bible, and the Lord has given a lesser light to lead men and women to the greater light." (*The Colporteur Evangelist*, p. 37). 2. **Revelation 14:12 and the Remnant**: - Revelation 14:12 says, "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Seventh-day Adventists believe that this verse refers to those who, at the end of time, will remain faithful to God's commandments and the testimony of Jesus. They interpret this as including the Ten Commandments, but also faith in Christ and the grace provided through His sacrifice. - The church sees itself as part of this "Remnant," but it does not claim to be the only group included. The "Remnant" concept includes all who faithfully follow God and Jesus' teachings, no matter their denomination (see *Seventh-day Adventists Believe*, p. 169). 3. **The Commandments in Exodus 20 and John 13:34**: - While Jesus emphasized love as the greatest commandment in John 13:34, Adventists believe that love for God and love for others is the foundation of the Ten Commandments. Jesus summarized the commandments in Matthew 22:37-40: "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind... Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." Adventists teach that the moral principles found in the Ten Commandments, including the Sabbath command, still apply today but must be understood through the lens of Jesus’ love and grace. 4. **Claims to be the Remnant Church**: - The Seventh-day Adventist Church does see itself as part of the "Remnant" described in Revelation 12:17, which speaks of a group that "keeps the commandments of God and has the testimony of Jesus Christ." However, the Adventist Church also teaches that God has faithful followers in many different denominations and that being part of the "Remnant" is not about membership in a specific church but about faithfulness to God's commandments and the testimony of Jesus. In conclusion, while the Seventh-day Adventist Church believes in the prophetic gift of Ellen White and considers itself part of the prophetic Remnant described in Revelation, it does not claim exclusivity or replacement of the Bible. The church views White's writings as guidance that points to Scripture, not as a substitute for it. Additionally, the teachings about the commandments reflect a holistic understanding of both the Old and New Testament principles.
