Had one for 18 months from new. Good points, comfy, easy to ride, good brakes, looks big on the road and been reliable. Bad points - Limited to 50mph, frame finish is paint so chips easily, a bit vibey. I did 600 miles in a week on a camping tour, those panniers hold a lot, good shopping bike.

That’s all good to hear, apart from the max speed. Thanks for sharing with everyone 👍

Can concur with the frame finish. It needs care or you will see pitting very quickly. I fixed mine (weirdly it was on one side only ) with a nice coat of smooth enamel black and it looks grand.

50mph is terrible even for a 125cc
@richardwatson70592 ай бұрын
It gets up to 50 pretty quick even fully loaded, I'm not small. Rarely have to pin the throttle. Waiting for a larger front sprocket to give it more top end
@SpeedStar764 ай бұрын
I like mine, had it about a year. Change the front sprocket for one with an extra tooth and its much better. It does need some good old fashioned maintenance (as an old school biker, it comes second nature). Its really comfortable and its fun to ride. One thing i would say, is to put decent oil in it. The Chinese tractor oil it comes with makes the bike run like, well, a Chinese tractor! I run mine on Castrol and the difference is huge. It even has a usb charging socket 😁👍

Good advice with the oil. 👍

I bought one last year, in the 6 days I had it, i loved it, comfy seat, though for me i had the sit right back 😂 but i had a minor issue with the Speedo, i lost it due to theft 😢 id happily have another, but id welcome a TFT screen in the future.
@GillyBikes5 ай бұрын
Oh no. It got stolen after 6 days. Thats terrible. 🤬. Sorry to hear that. This bike is budget friendly I would bet if they started putting better stuff on it like a Tft the price would shoot up. It would be good if it had one and kept the price down. I just can’t see it.

Looking to do my CBT in the next couple of months. Would you consider doing a Top 5 Learner-Friendly bike, video? Or something along those lines? :D Love the content and the fact you're pretty local!

I really, REALLY wanted to get a look & sit on one of these, but no one local had one, so it never happened 😕 Shame you didn't go & find some off road ING though 😁

Its well underpowered 15hp is the limit. I think it should have at least 15hp If you're going to be using the bags n all.

I agree. It baffles me why they are still making 125’s at 9,10,11 hp. They should all be pushing for the 15. Especially if, like this bike you are going to put all the extra weight in the bags.

Not bad for a cheap low budget runabout , but those grotesque panniers are totally out of scale & not doing it any favours . The engine should be reliable looks like a cloned Suzuki lump , which the Chinese have got down to a fine art . 👍

Aesthetically the panniers aren't good. But for really world use if they hold up pretty good.

@@GillyBikes No probs M8, I just stumbled onto your channel, my last bike was a Norton Dominator 650 yeah you'll do a wee search and think this guy doesn't know now't but it was a SS 650 fairly rare back in the day, a great bike, in truth tho I spent a hell-of-lot of time sliding along the black grass around Scotland so I ended up in a car to literally save my skin i passed my test on a BSA c15 250 an spent a fair amount of hours on a kh250 ye know the triple two stroker, but I was a British bike lover at heart, bike an me parted, now I am looking to go back on two wheels again, I would however prefer to stay small as i still remember the close attraction tarmack had for me while i was on a bigger heavier Norton it seemed that tarmac so got jealous and pulled me off on a regular weekly date seems she really liked me, but not while was on a lighter bike tho, I'm sure you'll not be interested in to much of that, I do like your reviews tho.

I’m always interested. I love to hear about other people’s bike history. I did the same thing really. I had bikes in my youth. Then Got a car and couldn’t afford both so the bike went. Came back to it years later. It’s the best but most expensive hobby I have.
