I think one of the main reasons I love TAZ is it’s hilarious to watch Griffin carefully construct these dramatic moments only for them to dissolve into ridiculous goofs the moment the others have the floor. I’m a sucker for that comedic formula. But I agree with you the water, revealed?? Creepy and atmospheric as hell, 10/10

Ned’s done some legally questionable (read: outright criminal) in his past, and at the beginning of this arc, an FBI agent arrives to the town to chat with him regarding a video he released featuring a local cryptid. So the phoon he’s about to do might be penance for his shady past.

your style for the characters is really great and the way you bring the mcelboys actually talking into their playing is really cute and fun!! and its almost like?? really cartoony? the way everything is more exaggerated and silly and AH its just so good????? this deserves so much more attention holy heck dude this is just,, so good AND THE LIGHTING UNDERWATER OOF AND THE TITLE in that like HORROR MOVIE TEXT the like?? I remember when I first saw this, having not touched Amnesty and not even finished Balance. I thought this was a lab setting, with this sort of doctor-stuck-in-his-own-experiment-course thing, with Ned this innovating professor scientist-type person, Aubery a badass older biker lady very inspired by Yzma and Duck.. I didn't know WHAT Duck was. A scout leader? Camp counsellor? A teacher? Man I was SO wrong.
