I watched this series avidly in the 50s and 60s in Sydney andcstill love them today. Richard Green was superb and definitive. Alas we lost him too early in 1985

For me, Richard Greene was the best Robin Hood, loved watching him every week along with William Tell, and all the other great shows for kids.

Thanks for posting. As a young boy living in rural England in the 1950's , I fed on the adventures of Robin Hood. Bows and arrows, oak trees, and being unseen in the forest with hidey holes in hallow trees, and tree climbing was all part of our daily staple as kids: and Robin Hood was our hero.

in my opinion, this series should be in the public domain now.

I grew up watching Michael Praed as Robin of Loxley so for me he's the definitive Robin Of Sherwood. Am getting this on DVD as I am a fan of this mythical hero but up til now never seen Richard Green as I wasn't born when this first aired but am looking forward to his take on the character. For the film version it will always be Errol Flynn. Black and White won't bother me as I love films from the 1930s more atmospheric.📺📺

I appreciate you putting up this ep, including Joan Sims (partly because it's my wife's maiden name). The sound quality is better than in other episodes other folk have put up. I'm wondering what the sound quality is like on the DVD sets? I'd buy one, if the sound were better than what I'm mostly finding on KZbin (except for this one)

I ran home from school to catch the reruns at 5 and then after part of a year they stopped running them. I was so disappointed.
