What was Kahn expecting to happen, CM Punk left WWE 10 years ago and there was pretty much no chance of him ever going back, especially when he joined AEW, but all througout that time the crowds never stopped Punk chants, so to bring this back up had the oppersite effect because the last thing Kahn needed was Punks name to be chanted from the rafters, the clip doesnt make punk look bad, fights have got into fights for years backstage and WWE have just sorted them out in house and not destroyed a wrestlers name.

@@Dre384 meaning the Cody/rock promo was way too long and unless your invested in Cody it was tedious to watch. Wrestlemania attracts everyone and as brilliant as it was with all the eyes on the product that starting with a promo that long will loose most. I lost my voice screaming for Cody but that promo was still way too long. WWE will cut it up and take the best parts and make it not seem so drawn out but for someone watching with a group of ppl by the time it got good (which I myself said after the first hour it was good) everyone but me was checked out.

Punk was clearly in the wrong here and the aggressor but they didn't need to show this...but with all the mayhem coming from it I'm glad they did. It doesn't affect my thoughts on Punk and I'm still excited to see him in WWE. I do think Perry is being punished a little harshly given what we saw in the video but I have no idea what was said in the argument or anything prior to what we saw. I think AEW needs to stop confronting WWE. It's a bad look. Little jabs at each other I love but this and the Ospreay comment were beyond that.

I think Sancho idea of blaming the young bucks and making it Kayfab would be a bad idea, because it would just make it look like they are willing to copyright strike and hurt other peoples lively hoods just for storylines. I think best case scenario for AEW is to pretend like it never happened and stop mentioning WWE for a while. No matter what they do its obvious they released it out of pettiness and it made them look desperate and petty which is never a good look months after something happened. If I was Tony Khan id delete the KZbin video and all post that involved the segment, let people say what they want and to set up the greatest match card in Dynamite history in hopes that they can put on a show that can make fans remember what AEW is all about... and keep the young bucks off of it to make sure theres no CM Punk chants, which will happen if they show up

Tony Khan stated that his intention of airing the footage was to garner attention for the upcoming Dynasty PPV. In that respect, then CM Punk's message was right: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, because it was a blatant ratings tactic. Unless people are blatantly pirating the TV show, there is no way that their viewership doesn't increase from this week over last week or the week before. AEW was in bad, lose-lose situation. WWE took shots at them during Wrestlemania week (HHH, Pat McAfee, Michael Cole, CM Punk), so they responded to exploit the renewed attention that WWE put on their product. If AEW does nothing, then they miss the opportunity and WWE's personnel's narrative is what people remember. If AEW does what they did, then WWE fans, and the media and social media ecosystem that caters to them, would bury AEW in more negative content. As an AEW fan, who watches regularly, I'm glad they chose the latter.
