Just got it for a very good price, considerably lower than at the AD. Very happy with a purchase, for anyone thinking about buying it but not so sure, I would warmly recommend visiting an AD and checking it on the wrist. It looks so much better than on the photos and videos! I was blown away when I opened the box! I own the steel version as well, I love them both. So similar but so different characters! They complement each other so well! The negatives mentioned in the video are valid, but on the other hand they give a certain charm to the watch. Of course the Rolex Root beer proportions are superb, golder ratio of all watches for me, but unfortunately Rolex is going down the bling-bling boulevard more and more with the ceramic bezel and rosegold. Coloring on the Tudor brother feels more subtile and traditional. Few comments on the comments here. Many call Tudor watch a poor man Rolex, I call it a smart man Rolex. I can buy a Rolex GMT but refuse to pay a premium at the grey market or buy three Rolex watches that I hate just to be able to put my name on the waiting list. Secondly, some say that the Tudor proportions are deliberately wrong to not cause canibalism of the Rolex watches. Tudor released a couple of Black Bay watches witn perfect proportions, but I don’t notice that Submariner sales are going down.

Bought this watch and I thought I would regret it since 6k is by no means cheap, but I didnt regret. I'm still looking at videos of this watch after buying it cause I just can't get enough of it lol

I don't have any problem with the thickness of my Tudor GMT (stainless steel) which I bought one year and four months ago. I'm really happy with it and I love it. Thanks Oleg for another great video.

a week ago I sold my pre ceramic Submariner ( no date ) before the bubble bursts, bought the Tudor GMT S & G, and I am happy as a pig in the mud with it . I like thick watches. A bit more anti reflective coating would be nice, but besides of that a really great watch in every aspect . Have fun overpaying Rolex at the grey dealers, the Tudor has it all !

Hi Oleg, Happy Canada Day Weekend. I have the Tudor BB Pepsi GMT. I waited over 6mths to get it and am very glad I did. Love the watch. I have a 6.75in wrist and don't find it too thick. I think that is more of a personal opinion for most peeps. I bought it on the bracelet, but like all my other watches, I switched out the bracelet for multiple straps immediately (as I prefer rubber, fabric, or leather straps on my watches). Don't have an opinion on the bracelet. Glad to see you back putting out content again

Agree 100% with your opinion. When I have my Tudor on my wrist looks really good and not too thick like some people are saying all day, annoying because they don't say the same when they are talking about some Omega watches.

I received mine in early May. It is definitely a different vibe. Due to the bone structure of my wrist it’s not my most comfortable watch, but it’s not uncomfortable. It is my most heavy watch and after wearing it, I wouldn’t want a Deepsea. This is about as big as i’ll go as far as case size. It’s not as comfortable as the DJ or OP41, I’d put it a hair more top heavy that the Seamaster 300smp on the bracelet. I’m pretty confident I’ll not run into someone with this model in the wild due to the case size and the two tone, and that’s a positive because I imagine it will remain a more uncommon piece. The watch looks better in person and the hands pick up the light very well. The watch has some amazing angle that are really hard to capture on camera.

I bought this watch and it looks good on my 7.5 inch wrist, the thickness of 14.5mm isn’t an issue. The watch feels comfortable & balanced. The movement is COSC certified and my particular watch looses 0.5-2 seconds per day which I’m very happy about. I’d highly recommend this 2 tone Tudor GMT. I just don’t think it will look good on smaller wrists though due to the thickness. It does wear bigger than a regular 41 that’s thinner

Viewed the leather strap version in an AD a few weeks ago and it sang to me like few other watches ever have. The contrasting colours, the retro bezel, the vintage strap, OMG. I will be viewing it on the bracelet in a week or so, but now having seen a number of reviews, the s/s clasp, lack of micro adjustment and to a lesser extent those rivets...... I think that I've already viewed my next purchase. On leather it is just about perfect, and for a shade over £3K what more can you ask?

For me the Tudor GMT root beer looks better then the Rolex you own. The looks and size of the blue BB58 in my opinion is simply the best. It would have been nice if Tudor would have used the Pro buckle on all their watches, it needs on the fly adjustability

On my 7.5inch wrist with the vintage leather strap it looks and wears brilliantly. The thickness just not an issue in any way whatsoever. Beautiful and practical. Love it. Love it so much I had to buy it 👍

I'll be getting one with leather strap in couple of days from my AD. I have the BB 41 S&G with the 2 tone jubilee bracelet (not the 2022 model), and a BB heritage diver with steel bracelet. They all have same lug width of 22mm. So once I get my watch, I'm going to try to put on the jubilee bracelet and the steel bracelet on this GMT root beer and see how it goes.

You're right about the case design emphasizing the thickness. Technically my 16710 is thicker than my BB58, but in reality the BB58 wears significantly thicker

I agree Oleg, two-tone watches are striking. The S&G effect on this watch is much more subtle on the leather strap. I had it on my wrist today at the AD.

Excellent, honest, almost stoic (that’s a compliment) review. Well done. I bought the stainless steel version in 2018. Have worn it on the Tudor bracelet, the Tudor OEM NATO, several different third-party NATOs, the UncleSeiko Oyster-style bracelet, and the Forstner Bullet bracelet with (nicely) fitted, solid end-links. My personal favorites amongst that group are the Forstner bracelet and the Crown and Buckle Chevron NATOs. I’m a 7 inch wrist guy (6’4” tall, 200 lbs). My wife says the watch looks good on me. I think it would be even better if the watch head were a little smaller, but I think Tudor is limited by Rolex’s size choices. I’m other words, if the Tudor GMT was 40 mm or 39 mm and 13 mm thick, then why would anyone buy the much more expensive Rolex (I have two of the Rolex GMT IIs; a 2007 all-black ceramic bezel and the Batman)? So product differentiation, I believe, is the reason the Tudors stay “not perfect”. If you want “perfect”, Rolex wants you to pay for the Rolex. For me? I own several Rolexes; I prefer the Tudor Black Bay lineup. Just suits my preferences better; they’re available at the AD, and the costs are much less.

Hi Oleg, great review! I don’t think 14mm thick is a problem. Much the opposite. I’m a 6.5 inch wrist, 5’10” tall and can tell the proportion is perfect and the heftiness is welcomed for my frame, and I’m not a large guy. Part of the ‘looks’ you describe that justify the choice for this color combo and divers in general is the bulkiness they show.

I like what Tudor did here. But really, it's just the 41mm Black Bay Heritage Diver in Steel and Gold with a different bezel and the GMT movement. Which is also a great looking watch.

I bought a citizen series 8 gmt. It’s more solid gold although it plays with rose gold and yellow as it’s two tone. Same dimensions. It’s does in fact have an integrated bracelet which is a bummer but I’m waiting for it to come. Watching videos of comparable gmt’s. Mine was priced around 1750$ but has the brown and cream dial closest and a crazy Grand seiko type dial. Can’t wait. Appreciate you doing videos like this

Love my “original” BBGMT, Which sits in my collection along with my BB58, and my newest addition a Hamilton Intramatic Chrono manual wind. 3 “relatively” inexpensive no-bling watches that put a smile on my face when I tried to decide which one to wear. I think I’m just not a gold kind of guy, and the new Tudor root beer GMT Just kind of confuses me. I think ultimately this watch will not be a big seller even though the price is relatively ok. I’m also not blowing away by the black Bay Pro, which I guess just means that I can’t see having that watch AND my original black dial BB58 in my collection. To me, my BB58 Is still the only necessary watch in my collection and all others are just icing on the cake.

Great to see you again, Oleg. As for the clasp, do you prefer some sort of glide-lock system? of course, it can not be exactly same as Rolex, but something similarly engineered in Tudor's way. Initially, I thought that was full gold links, but I guess not. If so, probably it would cost around $9K or so? thanks and have an awesome day!

With this you definitely get the looks but frankly there are a lot weaknesses in design of the case and bracelet in real life. The best bits are the dial , hands , bezel and the domed crystal.

There is also the known issue of the bottom of the clasp rubbing and leaving a mark on the bracelet. That will look terrible as the gold wears off. Great review.

Mine did that immediately. It actually came out of the box with scratches from it, before I even put it on. It’s not bad though. While you know it’s there (which is important), no one else will see it.

I bought it for its looks. The brand has a history, yes a sibling of Rolex, only its not a Rolex. Its different, and yes I own a stainless steel 16610 SUB. I like that too. I dont buy divers watches to dive. If I want to get something to dive with it wont be with a 10k watch

I don't think it should be having the root beer nickname. It's a two tone, s&g. Rootbeer is rosegold with browner tones of the Pepsi bezel.

I think as much as Tudor is trying to have it’s own identity, they are controled by Rolex too much. If this was a different brand their watches would be much nicer. All the shortcomings are put in place so shine is not taken away from Rolex. Pathetic

I have the pepsi and the rootbeer, the rootbeer is a bling watch and its feels okay to be thick, its 5k watch that rolex instructs tudor on how to make it, rolex doesn't want the gmt tudor to be the same thickness as a rolex gmt, thats how the game is played.. your acting like this isn't happening.. stop playing the fool. Tudor watches are to fill a gap that rolex isn't in..retro, no cyclops, thicker, etc.. they are 1/2 the price and are available.. you go into rolex dealer and buy two tudors and then they let you buy a rolex..this is the game..so stop acting like this isn't happening.. be honest to your audience..
