What a shame !! It seems like the Government of India and the Archeological Department are not interested in preserving such a historic place in India

Why is it that the Siddis are now only in coastal areas but not rest of Deccan where they were mostly worked or ruled as part of the Sultanates?

How did they make the fortress with such high walls? The engineering task to accomplish that is spectacular because of its location off from the mainland. Do the fortifications touch the seabed? How deep is it at the deepest point and how shallow at the shallowest point? I'm sure they used their ancestral knowledge of building to make this impregnable fortress and listening to all the dates , especially 1947 when Partition happened, makes their existence on the island till 1972 all the more impressive. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Siddhis acquired Janjira but becoming friends with Maharashtrians there and then killing them while they were sleeping. So Siddhis were not that great

I visited Murud Janjira Fort with my family Back in December 2019 there tourist guide told us that Murud janjira was an princely state prior to 1947, When india was getting partitioned in 1947 Pakistan tried to convince many princely states to join them they mainly focused on princely state with Muslim rulers ( as chances of their joining were high) They tried with Hyderabad state & Bhopal but couldn't because they were landlocked & even if they wouldve joined they would be surrounded with india on all sides,After visiting the fort Being a geo - political enthusiast my mind begged the question why didn't Pakistani establishment didn't even tried to reach Murud - janjira despite having access of sea & being just few kilometres from an important city of your enemy country ( Mumbai) Shocking fact was that Jinnah himself was an resident of Malabar hills. It could've been Kaliningrad or Guantanamo bay for Pakistan!.
