I was just talking about some ideas I have for my own FNAF AU and I Came Upon A genuinely decent Theory it definitely has some flaws and likely isn't Canon considering it started as a AU but it does a decent job explaining what The Bite of 87 is the random possessed endoskeleton Easter egg in FNAF 1 and the Hand printing on Freddy Fazbear's face so I figured I'd share it anyway It starts in 1987 when despite not being possessed one of the endoskeletons that currently has Freddy Fazbear's costume on randomly malfunctions resulting in It leaping at a member of the staff team and biting their frontal lobe they are taken to the hospital and just barely survived we know they survive because phone guy mentions how it's amazing humans can survive without the frontal lobe however they don't last long even after having the frontal lobe surgically removed to save their life they still died just a few days later and go on to possess the endoskeleton as the thing that had killed them and so the Fazbear crew seeing that their Freddy Fazbear animatronic is now bloodied and the endoskeletons AI is malfunctioning they decide it to be far easier to completely replace the endoskeleton instead of trying to fix the errors and clean it up so they move it to parts and service clean up the endoskeleton in case anyone finds it and attempts to sue them and then they remove the Freddy costume clean it and place it on a spare endoskeleton that they had in case something like this happens they then bring out the new Freddy endoskeleton onto the stage put it in the spot that the previous one used to be in and turn it on leaving the previous endoskeleton alone in parts and service in a dark room with the endoskeleton turned off leaving just the soul possessing it alone with its own thoughts and the handprint on Freddy Fazbear's forehead comes not from it trying to rip its own head off like people think but instead from when the repair crew are placing the freshly cleaned costume head back on the newly selected endoskeleton the place it's slightly Askew and so they straighten effect out so the hand marks are just from the repairman grabbing the costume head to realign it some point the William Afton murder stuff happens and he chooses not to stuff anyone in the spare endoskeleton because it has no costume so people would see the blood and gore and because he knows what happened with that one and he doesn't want to risk anything when he's trying to stuff the children. This Theory originated from me writing in alternate AU in which the classic animatronics are never melted down to make the funtimes and instead only the spare endoskeleton is which is then how William discovers Remnant and he uses the endoskeletons remnant to make ballora explaining why she acts so lifelike despite being seemingly the only animatronics to not be possessed because she's made out of Remnant giving her a life-like feel but her programming side still makes her act motherly and like mrs. Afton allowing for a scenario in which they act life like without actually containing the soul of the person they act like by instead forcing a different soul to play the role of mrs. Afton and still keeping the classics alive however this part isn't part of the theory because it started off as an AU idea and this part definitely Strays too far from what we already know considering it's actively stated that all the animatronics were melted down not just one so I don't consider this part to be part of the theory I just figured I should mention it's part of what led up to me making the theory anyways I kind of like this Theory because it in One Singular Theory describes the bite of 87 while acknowledging the fact that the victim of said bite actually survived at first and also explains the endoskeleton Easter egg and the handprints I especially like how it solves the endoskeleton problem because there weren't really many acknowledged theories for it and it specifically makes sense for the endoskeleton to be a previous Freddyy and possessed by a staff member because if there were another missing child we would have heard about them somewhere but if they were a staff member it makes sense for their death to be buried by the Fazbear company or at least not mentioned as much hence why the missing children count stays the same despite there being an additional endoskeleton that's also alive and it also explains why as far as I'm aware they aren't aggressive like the missing children if they were simply killed by a malfunctioning animatronic they'd have no reason to take it out on the night guard the missing children are aggressive cuz they are vengeful Souls that want revenge on anyone that works with or resembles their killer whereas the person who possesses the endoskeleton was just a member of the staff who was bitten by Freddy and therefore lacks the motivation to come to your office and kill you instead only occasionally looking at the camera as if to acknowledge your presence and as for the reasoning of why it's specifically Freddy I have two reasons number one being it explains why they would replace the endoskeleton instead of repairing it as if they had to remove Freddy from the stage to start working on fixing an error in its coding it would probably require Freddy to be out of service for several days whereas if they could just simply Swap and their skeletons they could do that overnight but if it were any other member of the band like Chica Bonnie or even foxy they would be more willing to actually reprogram the endoskeleton so that they could continue to use it because it would only be out of service for a few days and then would be repaired for a lot longer and because the other characters aren't usually the main attraction and most people are paying attention to Freddy anyways making it more essential that they stay repaired compared to the others meaning that likely the only way they would make the decision to outright replace the endoskeleton altogether would be if they we're an important character that needed to get back on stage as soon as possible or if the endoskeleton was severely damaged Beyond repair and the second piece of evidence for why it was probably Freddy is more symbolic being that's the other animatronics when killing and stuffing you their preferred choice of animatronic costume to force you into is Freddy Fazbear and also because Freddy Fazbear's the main Leader of the Band so it's thematically interesting to make the possessed endoskeleton in the backstage have been a Freddy Fazbear themselves before they did something wrong and had the costume removed and assuming that they have several Freddy costumes considering they are able to stuff you in a Freddy costume without removing the possessed Freddy's costume it's actually possible that both the endoskeleton and costume were replaced instead of the costume being cleaned and if that's the case then it's possible that when they get you and stuff you you're being forced into the original Freddy costume that was used by that endoskeleton before The Bite of 87 That Was Then replaced with a different identical Freddy costume this is again interesting as it would imply that their preferred method of killing isn't just shoving you in a Freddy costume it's specifically to take you and forcibly sandwich you in between the endoskeleton and costume of the original Freddy Fazbear therefore making you a member of the band and I know it's a bit of a stretch but if that's the case it also implies that they aren't aware that the original Freddy Fazbear endoskeleton is already possessed because if they were I doubt they would try to stuff you in there meaning in the FNAF 1 non-canon death screen what we're seeing isn't just you got killed and stuffed in Freddy it's you got killed and stuffed between a endoskeleton and costume forcing you to share a body with another long dead member of the staff in a situation that would very likely be similar to what many believe golden Freddy to be only instead of several dead children it would be with multiple members of staff probably only the two the playable guard and the bite victim but possibly more if we're assuming that they've killed other security guards in the past and that they've stuffed them all in the same suit what's interesting about this is if this theory is true that would also mean that both suits with multiple souls in them would both contain a bite victim and both would be Freddy suits with golden Freddy containing the bite of 83 victim Cassidy and likely some characters from the books and the original Freddy Fazbear costume containing The Bite of 87 victim who is a day shift guard a night guard that you play as in FNAF 1 probably Michael Afton and possibly several other previously killed night guards and if we are assuming that the bite of 83 victim is the crying child and that the crying child is indeed an afton and that you play as Michael Afton that would also mean that the original Freddy Fazbear costume and the golden Freddy costume would both have the soul of a afton in them in the non-canon ending meaning that there would be yet another connection between the two meaning there's three connections all tying back between the Easter egg costume and golden Freddy if we make a few assumptions which is really interesting cuz I didn't expect the endoskeleton to be important but then again it is possible that isn't actually important I just thought I'd share this Also all of this was written speaking into my phone's microphone cuz I don't have a functioning keyboard at the moment so if you see any spelling errors or flawed grammar please don't pester me about it I know I just can't spell
