The Agri Labour Australia PALM team recently travelled to Suva, Fiji to interview candidates who had been hand-selected by the village elders.
The team thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Navuso Agriculture College in Nausori, where we had the opportunity to meet with candidates as well as some of the island’s provincial leaders.
Our Managing Director Casey Brown met with Attorney General Siromi Turaga, Solicitor General Ropate Lomavatu, Director Samu and Senior Labour Officer Daniel Tagivakatini to discuss our commitment to ensuring candidates’ welfare and maintaining family connections during their time in Australia.
Assistant Minister of Agriculture & Waterways Tomasi Niuvotu also showed us around his hometown of Vanua Levu Island, calling the visit “a historic moment for the people of Bua”.
The Agri Labour Australia PALM team would like to express our sincere gratitude to Assistant Minister Tomasi for giving us the opportunity to meet key stakeholders and learn more about the key recruitment processes that will benefit the nation, and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our working relationship.
