I say it's a bubble. LLMs, image and video generators are great, but the real business use cases they cover are very limited. Most of what they end up automating us humans has already put massive effort in nearly completely automating the use case before switching the problem space to use AI.

To be fair, even though LLM is a marvelous invention. The world economy has not changed that much, at least fundamentally. Even Sam Altman admitted it. GPT-5 is crucial because after nearly 2 years, if the next gen of LLM doesn't deliver, then the rise of AI-LLM will die out. On the other hand, I still believe AI is the next big thing & can change our economy & society. Just not yet. Only until they can deloy AI & physical robot, that's when AI could truly elevate business. Look out for JEPA & Yan Lecun.

I think this is exactly why this might be a dangerous bubble. The current solutions havent had a huge fundamental impact so far. However, what if they do in the future? I think this is why many investor are throwing money at this. They acknowledge that so far AI hasnt changed our lives but they have to throw money at it in case it does in the future. But as you say, if the future solutions dont have a major impact, then the bubble might pop.

It has been in use and in development for over half a century, generative AIs like LLMs have probably already peaked and actually helpful AI systems have been in use for decades where it actually matters. AI hasn't been able to hold up the most basic promises over the past few years and the only big revelation at this point would be an AGI, which we are not getting closer to, since we are pouring billions into the same machine learning based neural networks. ChatGPT is seen as a break-through only because it is a poor man's AGI and convinced the layman to jump aboard the hype-train
