@Stereos & Stanzas dude you are great.. The bass seems likes it's a part of you.. Good grooves bro.. Hey... If you're interested in trying something new in the progressive area.. Check out Beyond Creation.. Songs like "Fundamental process" "Earthbound evolution" and "omnipresent perception".. Damn.. Just remembered the bassist from that band uses a 5 or 6 string.. And the 1st bassist uses a fretless one.. My bad..lol but jist as a reference, here is the bass player doing it up.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKPaiHV8pZ5ki5I

Thanks for the kind words! I really appreciate them! I'm always down to check out new tunes, but my list of songs to cover is super long at the moment. I'd be happy to attempt to live learn them on my stream for you though! Link in the description! 🤘

@@stereosandstanzas Bro that would be insane.. I have a question.. How many times (usually) do you have to listen to the song before a take? I think I kinda sorta have the same way of "learning" lol

@@codyblair2633 It kind of depends. Some of the songs I cover I've been playing and improvising over for years, but each take is different. Others, like the Paramore tracks from their latest album, I think I've played maybe 2-3 times? Honestly, most of the time, I just sit down to play and end up playing a line that my brain connects to a bass line. So I put on the song a play through it and it just gets added to my list. A lot of my transcribing by ear comes from just listening to music without my bass and hearing the interval changes and key that it's in. Then I can usually sit down with my bass and play it.

@@codyblair2633 Of course! Ah, yeah, regarding the Twitter thing: I deleted it a while back and completely forgot to remove it from the ol' KZbin about section. Not super big on social media as a whole, but I'm super active on DMs for the platforms I'm on.
