Summer is the prime time to target rabbits, so we join Mat Manning for a roving evening hunt on one of his permissions. Mat uses stalking and ambush tactics to bag conies during a session that throws up a few surprises.
The week’s review gun is the Weihrauch HW110 ST. A more affordable version of the famous HW100, this impressive PCP combines exceptional performance with fantastic value for money.

I've had this gun in .22 calibre for 4 mths now and it's a brilliant shooter. Very accurate and consistent groupings throughout. I did have a problem with one of the mags getting stuck. Hull Cartridge gave me a new one and problem sorted. For the money, I paid £645, it's a fantastic ad to my expanding collection!!

Great video Matt, loved the rabbit shooting bit, reminds me of shooting bunnies with my uncle about 20 years ago with 22 rim fires, he passed away last year at the age of 90 and he taught me so much about the country life and shooting from a very young age. We used to park the car in the grounds of a mansion that we had permission to shoot on and then through a cammo net over the car, sit quietly and shoot literally hundreds of rabbits!! good memories!!! Thank you!!!!! And by the way, I'm still doing it now!

Another great review Mat, I have had my 110 now for 10 months now and it gets used nearly every day and I still get the same buzz as I did the first day I took it out. I paid £620 for mine, it would have only cost £600 but I was misinformed that it only came with one rotary mag so I ordered another, only to find that it did come with two! Well at least I've got a spare eh?

Enjoyed the rabbit hunt, can I ask what pellets you where using? My .177 HW100 loves JSB exact heavies, which are also excellent hunting pellets IMO

My hw110 has 30 joule which has a longer barrel. And if you want a bipod on it you can drill a hole in the wooden stock. I give the hw110 a 10/10. 😁

quite an amusing episode in some ways the way that 1st rabbit leapt from right to left after the shot looked like a ballet dancer performing, then the mad squirrel running at you..but looks like a good session at the end of the day which cant be easy when you have a camera man with you..

I have to disagree regarding the HW110, mine was a terrible rifle, barrel wobbled from side to side because the grub screws were loose, shots were all over the place, Hull cartridge although helpful at first didn't want to know after all their suggestions didn't work, then offered to take a look( at my expense to send it) , but if they shot it and they thought it was perfect (which it wasn't) they would send me a bill for it, the shop I bought it from didn't care because they were 4 hours away from me and knew I wouldn't drive to them. - I did all my research before I bought the rifle and knew I should have been getting a perfect item, Weihrauch come with a reputation and I'm afraid in my case, this has been shattered. Bought a Air Arms S510 carbine super light and not looked back. Mat, love the show, look forward seeing it every fortnight, so many tips I have taken from you and the show, thanks.

The balistik polymer is not really any cheaper than the metal 100 version. It's actually an expensive material and I think will be seen on more guns moving forward. The 110 is better in my opinion and definitely a more improved gun than 100
