I get the “on a budget” theme here, and I think it turned out nice. Not everyone has the money to do things in an ideal, perfect-world manner, so showing solutions for renovating an RV on the cheap is a great idea. Well done.

One thing I did on my Airstream reno, was to remove the air conditioner cover and re-spray it bright white. Mine had yellowed really badly and was a big eyesore against the white walls. with the new paint it looked super modern and fresh. Nice job, enjoy your trailer.

That little fabric thing you did to cover up the access point for the fridge is now a even bigger eyesore cuz it doesn't match the rest of the design for that area. You would have been better off cutting it off square and making a hinged access door.

Finishing this Travel Trailer renovation ended up taking way longer than I thought!!! The list of "finishing touches" never seemed to end. But now It's done, setup and ready to be HQ for the Income Property Renovation!!! How you like how it looks, I'm digging it a ton.. feels clean and fresh and I tried to keep the original vibe / charm! Thanks for watching!!

I loved everything except for the countertops of course and the bed. I would get another twin and build a slatted let out and put another bed right in the middle so you have 3 twins worth of sleeping space. And just put the bed on top of another one when you get up for the day 🤷‍♀️

Looks good maté personally I would have gone to a paint shop with your vintage wall paper, and asked them to match a pot of paint to the green colour in it and used it on the old fashioned wooden cabinets, they would look good in the green leaf colour and tie the fabric to the wallpaper to the cabinets just a thought

Good job. The bathroom drawers that do not open bother me a bit though. Something I did a long time ago was remove the drawers and just hang the doors over the opening with concealed hooks. When done right you can not even see that the drawers no longer pull out. No more drawers but it is easy to lift up on the doors to remove and the space behind is usable again.

When I stain wood, I clean it with an alcohol base after sanding, but most of the time you don't have to. Then I put my first coat, wait 8 to 10 hours for big surfaces and do another one. We do this for cedar hot tubs. I have no idea how different it is to small wooden stain.

Very confused on the plug. That’s a 30amp 110 plug with 2 hot wires. It should have one hot one neutral. You would not need a double pole breaker since only the black wire should be hot. Double check your camper is 110 or you will destroy the panel. If you are currently hooked up to a 110 15 amp outlet, then you don’t have 220. Something is Def off here with the wiring
@betopark
@betopark Жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. He has it hooked up to 2 hot lines and no neutral, meaning no 110v just 220v. Unless he is using the ground wire as a neutral wire, which I would highly recommend against doing. If you want 220v for your camper or any other project that you will need 110v inside of, you really should use a 4 wore config.
@ModernBuilds
@ModernBuilds Жыл бұрын
I ended up moving one of the hot lines and running it to the neutral terminal. Realized the trailer can only run 120v after filming that clip, Good catch, my bad

Ugh. Stop calling it an AIRSTREAM. This is a FLEETWOOD trailer. While similar in functionality, there's a world of difference in both prestige and pedigree between the two. The entire Airstream community is rolling their eyes at you here! It's like calling a Toyota a "Cadillac".

ABS is made for waste and drain lines. That is why it is used... PVC isn't rated for that... Basically, ABS is crack resistent over the long run and the glue joints are more stable than PVC glue joints too.

For a budget rv reno, damn good job. The running / night lights you put in last on the outside, you want to use heat shrink connectors or auto grade connectors. Wire nuts allow water in. And your 30 amp outlet you ran, wrap that white wire in some red tape at both ends. Lets folks know that it is a hot, not a neutral.
