Ditto. I get that it was a slog and a half to summarize them, but these are classics and sometimes I just want to re-live them without actually re-READING them. Kind of akin to a "let's play" concept. Not to mention the editing was really entertaining :)

I'm 2 mins in to this essay and although this is now a two year old video I just heard something very refreshing. Moondays big ups my friend! :D for knowing the difference between a synopsis (as you put it recap) and an essay (or for that matter retrospective), so many times I've seen what claims to be an essay (reptrospective, deepdive etc) and is literally just a summary of plot. Don't get me wrong here I'll watch the recap bit interested to see what jumps out to you as important enough to recap, just really nice to see there's more than just being told the plot of a film I've seen...again haha.

So when I watched, & later read Akira I was addicted to painkillers, & I related heavily to Tetsuo. At the time I thought it was cool, & he was like my anime avatar. I still relate to Tetsuo, but I'm coming on two years sober off pills & I still feel he my anime avatar, but now I feel sad for him.

Since the crisis there are tons of different clinics that help with methadone or Suboxone. I take Suboxone daily.
