Filmed near Hamilton Pool, Río de los Pedernales, Texas. I was a 2nd sergeant and then lieutenant (sargento y teniente) in the re-enacted Mexican Army in that production, training, drilling, and working safety for the blackpowder arms. I remember some of the scenes you recorded, and am glad you were able to record them and post them for me to find.

In my opinion this is the best and most accurate version of the Alamo I've ever seen. There was of course some dramatization and the portrayal of Bowie was kind of thuggish which threw it off; however, a good film nonetheless!

Alamo Price of Freedom is pretty good too I'd say this and Price of Freedom are the most accurate

Lots of dramatization and at least 1 fictional character, based on a terrible book.

He was 26 when he got killed. Patrick Wilson (in his film debut) was 30 years old when he portrayed Travis.

I Love this movie sooo much? I will not hear a word against John Wayne, James Stewart and Gary Cooper, but this, Tombstone and Last of the Mohicans just can't be beaten! I have to have a regular fix of all of them! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
