The guitar droning is found on Another Brick in the Wall by Floyd, Alan Parsons was the producer of Dark Side of the Moon
@mackssboo10 күн бұрын
Parsons was the sound engineer on albums including the Beatles' Abbey Road (1969) and Let It Be (1970), Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), and the eponymous debut album by Ambrosia in 1975.

This song is about a robot saying how much better off he is than us pathetic mortals. The Voice is eerie and is about a robot unable to escape his programming. My personal favorite is Breakdown about a poor robot who glitched and needs a reboot. FANTASTIC ALBUM

Alan Parsons was original an Sound-Engineer and Producer, he works with famous bands, like The Beatles and Pink Floyd and other musicans before he founding his own band: The Alan Parsons Projekt. My favourite Album is still their first Album: Tales of Mystery and Imagination, but the famoust Album is "Eye in the sky" and also the same named song is the most played song. I have seen "The Alan Parsons Project" four times live, but since the bands vocalist Eric Woolfson passed away in 2009, the music or the songs of the band isn´t as god as before - that´s my mind. I´m very sad about this, but my love to the band continues to exist. Love and Peace to all Fans of The Alan Parsons Project.

Alan Parsons was the mixer producer, and he had musicians do it. All of the vocalists here hired from various sources. This singer was in the Hollies back in the 60's. Long Cool Woman in a Red Dress was his big one from back then.

I think the guitar riff you might be reminded of (just a guess) might be from " Edge of Seventeen" by Stevie Nicks, though in her song it's much faster and louder.

one of my fave tunes from alan parsons. It's from the album I Robot. His albums should be listened to from start to finish as it's a thematic album. check out breakdown, dr. tarr and professor feather, eye in the sky, pschobabble, games people play, what goes up, one more river, can't take it with you, children of the moon.

So, this was 1977. The DISCO era. Many bands music were influenced by Disco during this time. When the Rolling Stones put out some Disco songs... I thought that wouldn't happen. That "groove" comes in sync with the the high-hat symbol and bass. So, yeah. Great album. I Robot.

Good song by Alan Parsons. His project albums were always interesting and he put together some fine musicians. 'Goldbug' is a great instrumental from him. Eye in the sky is a favourite album. The guitar was a bit like Pink Floyd who Alan Parsons engineered for on Dark side of the moon.
