The Alban Way is a trail for cyclists and walkers along a disused section of the Great Northern Railway, between the historic towns of St Albans and Hatfield, providing an interesting route through Hertfordshire countryside.

That was fabulous and the music really went well with it. I live in St. Albans and have cycled from London Rd Station to the Galleria at Hatfield. I'm old enough to actually remember the railway line and going over the level crossing with its gates and lamps in my uncles car in the early 60s near Hill End station.

I love the alban way , it's a fantastic path for running. Getting me form smallford west to the lake at verilum and east to Hatfield station. It's part of almost all of my 60 or so running routes . Enabling me to have covered over 7000 miles in 36 months safely without cars and mostly considerate dog owners . Currently flooded where I live it looks like a river 👍 thanks for the video

how far is the The Alban Way from hatfeild train staion id like to do this ride i need to get a train from letchworth

0.44miles. Come out of the station (main entrance opposite hatfield house), turn left, go straight up Great North Road. At the traffic lights, continue straight across on the Great North Road which will lead you to a footbridge. Continue across the footbridge and the start of the Alban way will be on your left.
