Dear god this song holds a special place in my heart. As a fourteen year old I felt as though I had nothing. I was completely alone dealing with the abuse going on at the time in my home. I remember this song emulated hope for me. This song felt like things were going to get better. I get emotional listening to it sometimes because it reminds me of the trauma I experienced but it’s also almost bittersweet. I only remember it helping me remove myself from this earth and where I was. I really hope that I could thank this group for their music. Their other albums and songs helped as well. This song just holds a special place in my heart. I swear it on my life, every time I hear it my chest feels as though it’s caving in and my heart just takes it all in.

My story is so similar, Cat. Sending you love wherever you are all these years later from then. I know my trauma made me stronger, and I’m hoping the same for you. If you see this, breathe and smile and hug yourself. Xo!

My teacher in middle school used to play this song in class. I didn't know what it was called and since it has no lyrics I couldn't find it. But today Spotify randomly played it for me! I couldn't believe that I've finally found the song!
@Globbss6 ай бұрын
Did she play this song when someone in class died? For what possible reason should you play this song in a school?
@nikkihardy1824Ай бұрын
@@Globbss It's a good brain song? I used to lay in a bubble bath and just turn off the lights and close my eyes and work on whatever was going on in my head, or do projects or whatever needed to be done. Why wouldn't you play this in a school? Silence is uncomfortable and this is soothing?

My mother used to homeschool me, and just before my 15th birthday she passed away from breast cancer, I was tosses into highschool in 2010 and this song would help me grieve so much, it drops my walls even today and I just weep relentlessly.

Nostalgia, sadness, regret... but peace and comfort too.. a very beautiful and simple song evokes such a complex variety of emotions.

You're clearly not a musician if you think this song is "simple". Holy fuck, there is so much going on in this song that you don't hear the same thing twice. Not sure what you're listening to......

I remember listening to this for the first time, 10 years ago, during my first real heartbreak. This song has comforted me during most of those times. It was difficult to articulate how I felt then, to myself and to anyone. This song just spoke to me, even without lyrics. It holds a very special place in my heart, remembering where I came from and where I am now. Thank you for being part of my growth as a person, Album Leaf. Much love 💖✨

I remember listening to this when my husband and I first started dating. I was so excited for the possibilities but so worried none of it would really happen. It was a bittersweet feeling. This reminds me of the butterflies I used to have. The fear that I was imagining it all and that the relationship would never happen like I was desperately hoping it would.

Buralardayim. Yıllar önce de buradaydım. Aynı müzik. Farklı zamanlar. Değişen çok şey. Ben değiştim. En çok da Ben. Nefesim yetmiyor. Iyi olcam biliyorum. Sadece çıkışı bulamıyorum.

i was 6 years old when my mother and my sibling and i all moved to a different town with a man who we thought would bring us comfort but in the end left us damaged and hurt. i remember crying and covering my brothers eyes and ears so he wouldn’t see the horrible things the man did to our mother. often times me and my brother would have to hide to avoid getting hurt. my entire life changed one night and i can no longer sleep without fear and memories of what he did. it’s been 9 years now and he is trying to reach out to me, i fear what he might say to me.
