Andre DJ premier is too and he has been producing longer then the alchemist, both on my list of top 5 best hip hop producers
@WhtMike20065 жыл бұрын
@@pilotintraining2391 Yeah Premier is my favorite producer of all time. IMO every beat he made especially from 1995 through 2001 is untouchable. Bulletproof. You'll probably disagree but I did think that after The Ownerz dropped in 2003 that his quality did start to dip a little bit. He obviously still has lots of bangers but I do think he stagnated a bit later on. Nothing wrong with that. He doesn't even make beats when he's not been commissioned by someone to do so. He's not the type to sit around and make beats all day for fun, so him not changing his sound too much doesn't bother me. But all day I'll take '98 through '01 Premier over any beat by anyone else ever.
@pilotintraining23915 жыл бұрын
Andre I totally agree, his style got repetitive and also he just wasn't finding any hot samples to chop with so there wasn't a whole lot that stood out after that time in his career.

Whats the point of trying Like everytime you catch em lying Theres To much violence in the system To understand peoples emotions and crying So much shit i wanted to say but i kept it silent kept it quiet everyday hearing them sirens knifes be colliding in orgins brothers falling life getting you down not enough income to feed the poor kids drawing a line between being broke and having a fortune to many good mothers getting abortions its awkward i can hear the devil calling me demons really walk with me everday haunting me like a halloween story my life aint played out like the life of cory had to grind for every penny i can never pour liquor for my enemies only my dead homies the wave i had to ride supplying the ghetto like reusable energy. Now im shadowed by these evil entitys. Caught in a deathly fate thats called destiny some people really caught in that life like a frenzy. But if you really from that life whats the point to be happy. Losing people should make you feel angry at the world against humanity Yall got to much vanity pulling rocks together like gravity Is that really the definition of sanity

The truth is, people use "produced by X" as a way to help push their own brand. But "produced by Alchemist" doesn't mean shit honestly unless Alchemist says "produced by Alchemist." So sure, the guy can do it, possibly out of a desire to pump his name, but it's seen as sketchy among many "big name" producers, for obvious reasons. Alchemist produced Double 07 for Currensy, NOT for the guy that replied here. But whatever, I mean people will do it regardless.
@WhtMike200612 жыл бұрын
Well I know you CAN do it, and people do it all the time. But I came up learning a code from certain producers, and people like 9th Wonder, for example, that may say you CAN do it, but it's still not cool. It's an unwritten rule, and some mind, others don't. I'm just saying reasons why it could be wrong. It's insinuating that 9th or ALC or whoever produced it for you. Maybe they made the beat, but to say (prod by) comes off like they produced it for you, and they didn't.
@montana187xxx12 жыл бұрын
Well actually its not dishonest. As long as you cgive full credit to the producer, and as long as you use it for non-profit projects, you can do whatever you want, thats how it goes, people do it all the time and you break no copyright laws. You dont even need to ask anyone to do it, not even the alchemist. As long as its being used for a non-profit mixtape. All he has to do is give him proper credit (Produced by Alchemist).

No. He didn't produce it for you, so you shouldn't say he did. If you use it, you should just title it like (Double 07 freestyle) so people know where it came from. if you record a song to it and give it an original title and say it's "produced by Alchemist" that's being dishonest.
