Old Kesha songs were something I considered to be a guilty pleasure. Something I was definitely singing along to on the radio in my car, but never proudly spoken of. But Kesha free of the restraints is something I would proudly sing poorly. The amount of raw emotion that Praying conveyed made me actually cry when I heard it. And those emotions still affect me every time I hear it. Everything on her Rainbow album hits differently because it was just ripping off that bandage and exposing the raw truth lurking just below the surface. It was real and something that I connected with deeply. This song was no different, and I am honored she shared it with us all.
