Thanks for all that you do. Im considering a move from the UK to either Mexico or Portugal. I would like your opinion on which you would choose given your extensive experience? Or would you choose somewhere other than these two? Thanks 👍🏻

@@robster7012 I am not Jumping Places but I have spent a lot of time in both countries.I am American and live in L.A. If I had the decision to make, I wld pick Portugal. You are still part of Europe and European Union. You r near family and friends in the UK.Although the economy is not great, it is beautiful and inexpensive, historic, and generally charming ( though not as inexpensive as it was) and you can easily visit Spain and Italy for more warm weather adventures.Mexico is wonderful and so varied depending on what you are interested in.I love so much about Mexico! However, it has a very corrupt, 3rd world country govt.and lack of infrastructure in areas like Quintana Roo and Puerto Vallarta/Saluyita ,etc.My late husband and I were going to buy a place in Baja Ca and a lawyer told us not to buy in Mexico unless we cld afford to lose our $$$.It is also pretty lawless and popular tourist areas have been affected by gunfights in recent years between local drug cartels vying for power. As a foreigner, you cannot buy property near the beach and have few legal rights.Though deals are certainly available to rent, prices have gone up.As a tourist there for a week or 2, you may not notice but when you live in a place, you can see it.Good 🤞

I can't help but say: Portugal is the best country in the world, I've been to Portugal back in 2003-2004 where I've been working and living and I've got to tell you the people are so friendly and so welcoming, the food is great the streets are clean and the beaches are so pristine that I've decided to move to Faro Algarve and next year I'll open a private practice ( I'm a therapist, a clinical psychologist), God bless Portugal and the portuguese people 🤗

Portugal is not just the Algarve! Despite being small, it has an infinity of beautiful places, river beaches of great quality that in some cases, even surpass the maritime ones. Quiet places, in contact with nature; historical and natural heritage of rare beauty; diverse activities and for all tastes. It would be impossible to mention them all, but to say that there is much more... besides Lisbon, Porto, Serra de Estrela, among so many places of choice... Moinhos de Jancido, Fraga da Pena, Lagoa de Óbidos, Douro Valley, .. .just as an example. Thanks for the attention.

Assim a sensação é menos desagradável.
