Got so excited for Phi content for my main. Small Alisa things: 3:24 that's b+3, not d/f+3. it's a homing mid which thankfully still knd's. 4 does not :( 5:38 that's u/b+3+4, it has a 1+2 followup 14:21 yep, new move, that's 1+2. 19f mid and heat engager 19:34 2, (on hit/block) 2. new 12f punish and the old 2,4 strings seems to be gone

One of the best Tekken 7 matches was Cuddle Core's Alisa vs Arslan's Zafina back in 2022. Both players took advantage of their characters' amazing movement and it was so fun and spectacular to watch
@ivanfranebijelic700910 ай бұрын
Something that a lot of people are underestimating with the new "plus frames instead of KND" that a lot of moves got is that there is no recoverable health there. Example: Devil Jin's hell sweep combo is super cool and does a lot of damage sure but 95% of it is recoverable, which means if you land the combo, then the enemy player does some jabs, plus moves, then lands a heat engager your hell sweep just did like 10 damage at best. Imo these new guaranteed standing hit mini combos into heat engager like Jin's magic 4 into 1+2 are more powerful than many combos, simply because there's no way to recover that health and you will recover most of yours if you have grey health. I think players who are able to step back from the OG KND/oki gameplan will gain a significant edge in this game

Which is even doubly good for me as a jin player! Jin doesn't have the best tools to get people off of the ground (no steel pedal xd)

Good point. Gotta really pay attention to moves that delete the recoverable health too. I sure haven't paid much attention to that stuff yet... mostly just figuring out combo routes, new/changed framedata, and did a little bit of testing on move tracking.

god I love this commentary format so much it just makes everything more enjoyable and I feel like I'm learning something after watching multiple times, a big learning note to take is how insanely fast she changes from rushdown to whiff punish mindset. "keepout beats rushdown, rushdown betas whiff punish, whiff punish beats keepout" Usually I try to change the mindset between rounds, but here she does literally every few seconds and it's always the right call.

Excellent analysis as per usual; thanks for taking the time to break this match down! I always enjoy watching people with more knowledge than I have in something break down why the pros are just *that good*. I can tell on a basic level when I watch someone like Cuddle Core that she's great at the game, but it's always more impressive when you have a deeper insight into not just what she's doing, but how hard it is to do what she does as consistently as she does it. When I saw what Nakat was doing I was like this has serious potential. Little did I know I found my current MVP from this I am developing other backups obviously (I did not overlook the dangers of nerfs after Reina and King crisis) but Alisa has gotten the farthest in her current state.

Real curious if a lot of the iWR type moves will eventually be adapted to and that maybe people are in more of a T7 mindset of the game being on the linear side, or if they'll need to adjust them for fear of just freely being spammed as "neutral skip" type interactions. Between that and many Heat situations it's felt like even over several higher level matches, there wasn't much of a reasonable answer from being forced to eat pressure. Hopefully all situations have counter play that can be exciting. It'll be nice to see how people adjust to the pace and movement of the new game. Thanks for the breakdown!
